Welcome to Mt Rumney Escapes.

This cabin is called our Horse Haven and is pet friendly and fully fenced off,

Mount Rumney Escapes is situated in a rural setting in Mount Rumney which is only 14 KM from Hobart CBD and 13 KM to Hobart International Airport.

This property is close to all local attractions around Hobart and surrounding areas, Richmond, Port Arthur, Hastings Cave, Mona Museum, Salamanca Market, and much more.

This property is set in natural bushland with magnificent views of Seven Mile Beach and in a small hobby farm with sheep, horses, goat, birds, and chickens.

Fully self-contained with all essential items, FREE Wi-Fi, TV, FREE Netflix, microwave, oven , Fridge freezer, washing machine, towel, and linen provided.

We also have 5 cabins self-sufficient with everything from water to power being made or harvested on site. Being off grid doesn’t mean that you have to go without though

The location of your accommodation with Mount Rumney Escapes, allows you to easily explore Hobart & it’s surrounding regions.

While staying with us, we would love to meet you and introduce you to some, or all of our animals: horses, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, chickens & birds. There are numerous gorgeous bush walks on the property, some which provide incredible views of the surrounding areas. At any time, you could be lucky enough to come across a variety of native animals: echidna’s, wallaby’s, kangaroo’s, variety of native birds, blue tongue lizards, possums!

You will receive instructions a few days before arriving explaining how to get here and where to access keys.
The gate into the cabin is closed to keep animals out, please close the gate.

We may not be at the property when you arrive, but please let yourself into the cabin and enjoy your stay.

Please come and see us if you have any questions especially in regards to water, gas bottles or any other questions.
If for some reason, we do not answer our phones, please send us a text message or leave a voice message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

We normally don't come down to interrupt you during your stay (as some people like the privacy), but if you want us too, please let us know, if we see you around - we will certainly say hello and make sure everything is ok. You can walk around tracks and go and see the animals. Please do not into animal yards unless you ask (safety reasons only). We are happy to take you into see animals and show you around.

We currently have some new works going on, but this will not interrupt you at all.

Quiet, no neighbours close. Lots of animals to see.
