Adjacent to beautiful Fitzroy Gardens and within walking distance of Sandy Bay, Pillinger Street offers a peaceful getaway just a five-minute drive from Hobart’s CBD. This character-rich 1920s townhouse has been lovingly modernised boasting two living areas, a contemporary kitchen and two full bathrooms. Cosy up by the indoor fireplace, while split-system cooling keeps temperatures comfortable throughout the summer. Secure covered parking adds to your convenience.
Set across two levels, Pillinger Street provides ample space for travelling groups and families. Tucked away on a quiet one-way street, you’ll instantly be enamoured by it’s charming facade and white picket fence surrounded by greenery.

On the ground floor, you’ll find the first living area, tastefully decorated with trendy furniture and a gas fireplace. A sound system and collection of books and games cater to your evening entertainment. The open plan living and dining area extends to the private back terrace, with two chairs to enjoy a quiet cuppa before exploiting the CBD. Cosy up around a second gas fireplace or watch your favourite shows on the smart TV in the living area. The fully-equipped kitchen invites you to test your culinary craft, with premium appliances and ample bench space. Dine at home around the six-seater timber table. There is a powder-room on this level.

Upstairs you’ll find the primary queen-sized suite with views of Mt Wellington and lots of afternoon sun. Cosy linen and a feather down doona are complemented by an electric blanket for the cooler months. There is a smart TV, panel heating and loads of built-in wardrobe space. Freshen up in the attached ensuite bathroom with a luxe freestanding bath. Bedroom two and three are both set with queen beds, panel heating, electric blankets and large built-ins for storage. You’ll also find a second bathroom and in-unit laundry—with a Miele front loader washer and Miele dryer—on this level.

Parking is provided under the carport—suitable for a small to medium size vehicle.

Great experience.
Accommodation was great and met all expectations. Heating worked very well which was important given how cold it was for the 2 weeks we were there. All facilities were up to scratch with excellent bathrooms and laundry.

Great place to stay, location was perfect for markets and city. Only issue was parking on the street with limited parking and time. Unable to use the shared driveway as neighbour had parked their car in the driveway.

Roomy and very well equipped. Lots of stair climbing (3 bedroooms upstairs). Great bathrooms, laundry and kitchen. Drier and useful clothes horse but unusable outside line. Very difficult off-street parking, suitable for small car, normally park on the street. Not well cleaned, eg there were food remains in the fridge.

Well presented home with well equipped bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Easy location to walk or drive into town/Sandy Bay. Large kitchen and open dining. Worked well for our family with teenagers. Limited back yard and off street parking but never an issue parking cars on the street.

This was a lovely townhouse in excellent condition. We found it very convenient to walk to a range of places and also to get to the Southern Distributor to visit other family members. Heating worked very well and owners replied immediately when we had trouble getting the oven to work. Parking was very easy in the street. Would definitely book again.

What an absolutely gorgeous and well-appointed home. Only a stones throw away from the CBD. This house is nestled in a quiet street, equipped with all the creature comforts of a home. There is not only one but two fireplaces downstairs and a wall-mounted heater for every bedroom upstairs. The bathrooms were modern and spacious. Thank you for making our short trip to Hobart just that bit extra comfortable. We would love to come back and stay here again. Until next time!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Conveniently located, a short stroll to Salamanca, Battery Point and CBD. The house was clean and comfortable with well appointed amenities. Our only issue was the heating in the living areas as we couldn’t get the heat and glow heaters to get going once it turned off on our first night. We reported immediately and given a few instructions to no avail. It might be a good idea to have some detailed instructions. Fortunately there was a wall heater too! Other than that, it was exactly as advertised. Recommended.
