The hotel is very nice. The breakfast was great. It has incredible views but best of all, on my two nights I was able to see some of the best Northern Lights from the parking lot. The hotel is a bit far from other places so that helped a lot to see the northern lights. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. The girls at the reception and the bar were too kind. I give them a 10/10

I’ve requested a clean room with better view. Though no guarantee, how come the reception arranged a room with a metal scaffold outside the window without prior notification & my consent ? I found this when I checked the room. The way out is to get curtain down throughout the stay. Next morning, workers on the scaffold made peace and quiet gone. Repair is necessary but downgraded my room charging at the same room rate, ridiculous!! A male staff who looks like the Manager, was rude. He pointed to me to instruct me stop photo taking capturing other guests. Again, ridiculous!! There were so many guests that day, that means no picture or he should help clear the venue for guests who need photo taking? This hotel was the poorest one in my Iceland trip for 12 night-stay. THE POOREST!

A very beautiful property in a stunning part of Iceland. Our rooms were spectacular. The breakfast was excellent. However it is the staff that makes the hotel a special place. Make sure to check out the Pakkhus Restaurant in nearby Hofn.

This was a very nice property and very clean. There is 24 hour concierge service. Breakfast buffet was included with a decent spread. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises. Great views of the mountains. Overall, excellent place to stay.

Great rooms, beautiful location. However, we found the bathroom smelling of cigarette and we did mention it to the management that the cleaning staff should have taken notice. We wanted an iron/ironing board and we were surprised to learn that they do not have any. It is a good place to spend the night but we expect a bit better service for the money that was charged. Given the service, I would say its overpriced
