Vida Mejor Poolside is a 2 bedroom townhouse style private salt water pool accomodation in Jamestown Park Holetown within a 3-5 minute walking distance to the beach, to Limegrove mall, to many restaurants, bars, two fantastic grocery stores, banks etc. 1 st and 2nd street Holetown has many restaurants and bars and is in a 5 minute walking distance. The area is safe and is frequented by the green monkey. This is our coolest Villa, a nice tropical pool submerged beautiful tropical gardens comprise of purple patria, white star jasmine, green and purple leahs, christmas Palms, angelicas etc. Add humming birds, fresh spinach and aloe vera and you understand true serenity with natures best.

A great place, great location and great hospitality
We returned from a wonderful 2 week stay in East and West Villa. We loved everything about it, Carlton was there to greet us on our arrival and from then on was on hand if we had any concerns or questions. The villa's are spacious, the pools are lovely and the location makes for a great holiday on a great island.

Quiet and relaxing but close to shopping & beach
Everything was as described and very well organized. Pool is lovely. The only thing broken was the air conditioner in the second bedroom.

Beautiful villa
It’s in a perfect location close to beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The bus stop is just around the corner. Beautiful birds in the garden and the occasional visit from the monkeys. Carlton was very helpful and we look forward to going back. Thank you Carlton, Peggy and Sarina for everything.

Perfect Getaway
Carlton - thanks so much for a wondeful place to relax and enjoy family time. The villa was kid friendly (pool and beach toys too!) and we walked to dinner on the beach every night. I would highly recommend this to couples or families. The car rental worked great - we drove to some great places, the Nature Reserve and Harrisons Cave were our favorites, and the west coast beaches were terrific. We all can't wait to come back!

Great Location, great villa, great staff
This place is 5 minutes walk from the beach, 3 minutes from Limegrove Mall and first & 2nd street Holetown. 7 minutes from the Supermarket, which by the way is a brand new top notch supermarket which was opened in November 2017. Villa has a nice flowing design, the pool is great and bigger than a plunge pool, nice for short laps. Staff all nice. Overall great experience.

Great location,very good villa with pool and very well looked after by Carlton and his team.
This was our second stay at West Pool and we will definitely be going back.The location is perfect for Holetown,it’s restaurants, the new supermarket and Limegrove. A car isn’t really necessary as it’s only a short walk to hop on the Reggae Bus. We did hire a car from Carlton as we like to do an island tour,across to the East Coast . We were very well looked after by Carlton and his team.

Simply amazing villa
From start to finish Mr Jordan and his staff was amazing. Always responsive, rental car was very convenient, the villa was clean and as pictured and had cold water and banks beer waiting on us which is great local beer. The pool was simply amazing to have when you aren't in the mood for sand and the outside shower was handy especially coming back from the beach which is in walking distance. I will for sure return again.

Ideal Vacation Villa
A wonderful place to stay, near to Holetown activity, shopping, restaurants, a comfortable local beach, and yet a peaceful serene oasis to return to in the evening. Carlton is a wonderful host, always present if needed but never intrusive. The Vida Mejor Villa has a lovely secluded pool surrounded by lush gardens; the interior is very spacious and easily accomodated our family of 4 with enough extra space that we never felt cramped. Kids loved the high speed internet. When we return to Barbados, we will without doubt return.

wonderful vacation at Vida Mejor Villa
We have been going to Barbados for the last 5 years and have been staying three years at the same villa, and we will most certainly be going back. The villa is impeccable and has all the comfort you can expect, a beautiful garden gives you privacy to refresh in the pool and the owner Carlton and Peggy take good care of their visitors, always available and making sure we have all that we need. The villa is in Jamestown Park in Holetown, at a walking distance to the beach, shopping center, restaurants and a beautiful chattel village in which you can find real treasures! You will not go wrong if you rent one of the Vida Mejor Villas!

Excellent stay
We spend our Honeymoon at Vida Mejor Villa. Lots of Privacy and very comfortable. Every other day a maid service that is very helpfull and friendly. It is only a short walk to Holetown and the Marine reserve. Everything is taken care of in a friendly and helpfull way and there's is no need to worry about a thing. Beeing Dutch we liked the fact that we got lot's of good quality space, with a private pool, at a much better price then an average hotel room. Go visit the website and enjoy yourself!!!! We will definetely come back.

A fantastic villa in a perfect location, literally home from home and a lot more.
We have just returned from two weeks in the East Pool Villa. The villa has everything you could possible need, it is in a very central location with just minutes walk from Hometown and a variety of restaurants. Venture out a bit further north and discover De Outback restaurant for a taste of real Barbados. And Carlton. thank you for everything it was like staying with a very good friend. Beautiful beaches, endless sunshine and Carlton keep thinking about how to package that sunshine - I'm sure it will sell. ;-)

Loved it !!!!
My family and I stayed at poolside and east pool villas and honestly cannot complain about anything aside from the perfect location in Holetown and everything being so close ... The villas accommodations were great. Carlton greeted us at 5am as we arrived early; he gave us a detailed tour of the property and was there responding to all inquires if needed. He even went as far as letting us know what crop over events would be taking place while we were in town. Carlton was able to accommodate us on such short notice and the process from reserving and renting the villa to arriving and departing was seamless. I would recommend this villa to anyone looking to stay in Holetown and will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Barbados. Thank again Carlton!

HOLETOWN Villa Rental
We've rented villa's in other Carribean countries, but this unit is at the top of the list. Barbados, and it's people, is an under publicized vacation alternative, and that's a good thing. Our villa, with it's close proximity to restaurants, the beach, and shopping this property has everything to offer. The villa, and grounds are superb, and the pool is maintained daily. The housekeeper (Fay) takes pride in her ability to ensure each unit is clean and ready to go. Ryan (taxi driver) is a recommended alternative to renting a car. We rented a car, however the Barbados highway system can be a challenge, as the roads are not very well marked.Carlton went out of his way to ensure we were made welcome, and was always ready to answer any questions or make recommendations. I would definitly recommend this property to any friend or family member, and look forward to retuning.

Wonderful restful holiday
The Villa is well located away from the main road but near enough to the beach, restuarants and nightlife. Literally a five minute walk. The pool was very refreshing but not too cold not to enjoy and was kept well maintained and cleaned throughout stay. The Villa was also serviced by a lovely lady (Peggy) who cleaned and changed bed linen etc on a regular basis. The villa has an alarm system which does not require keys to lock nad secure villa. This was helpful when you want to go jogging as you dont need to take a key with you! The villa also has a large enough safe to keep your valuables in including camera equipment etc. My only comment would be and has been suggested to the pleasant owner is that it is in need of a little cosmetic surgery! I mean a paint job on the outside and a few very minor repair jobs internally. I would most definitely rent this villa again.

Amazing Experience at Vida Mejor - Waterfall Pool
We found this rental on Home Away and had a very positive experience. I contacted Carlton the owner and he got back to me right away answering all my questions. The Villa is located right in Holetown just a few minutes from the beach, restaurants and shopping at Limegrove. Carlton arranged our pick up at the sirport and was there to greet us and orient us to the Villa. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage girls). The Villa was perfect and had everything we wanted and needed. It was really clean and Carlton dropped by in the mornings to check on things and to clean the pool which was great because if we had any quesitons, we always had someone to ask! The private pool was a definite must!! We loved it! We spent our mornings lazing around the pool and went out and about in the afternoon. We ended back by the pool later in the afternoon and then out to supper each night! It was a perfect arrangement! Carlton arranged for a car rental for us for three days and he did all the paperwork etc right at the Villa so it was very convenient for us! I really think this Villa is an excellent choice for familiies wanting something other than hotel rooms etc...

Amazing home & owner!!
Oh my gosh!!! This place is amazing!! You have your own private pool and Villa in a quiet neighborhood. It is close enough to town and the beach to walk, but you have the privacy of your own home and you can escape from the tourist thing. It has an amazing art deco theme. Quite a few of the villas on the island do. It was so warm and inviting. Carlton and his staff are simply amazing!!! Carlton picked us up from the airport, arranged a rental car for us (which we promptly lost the keys to), was kind and thoughtful, and his hospitality was simply amazing!!! So much better than a five star resort!! Peggy the house keeper came by every two days (or more at your request) was so sweet! We were very messy. We would run and out from various activities and funness (my own made up word) and come back to a sparkling clean villa. Holetown if filled with great restaurants, bars, jet ski rentals, shopping and friendly warm people. I loved the older lady that sold tea towels at Zaccios (they have great pizza on the beach). We went on catamaran excursions with Silvermoon (a must do!) Ask for caption Dale. Carlton and his staff were excellent. ..... Carlton thank you for you kindness, warmth and hospitality. Fabulous find in the centre of Holetown St James
I am so happy that we chose to stay in this villa. My partner and I are often in Barbados and on this occasion I contacted Carlton looking for a last minute booking after arriving on the island. He is extremely professional and allowed us plenty of time to look at the property after which he put us under no pressure to make a decision. This is a truly great find! That Carlton is rightly proud of it. The villa is about a year old and as such has all modern fittings that include a very modern kitchen, plasma TV and PC with broadband connection and fancy outside lights that can be set to change colour giving the garden a wonderful ambience in the evening. The living area is extremely comfortable too, well thought out and impeccably clean. Looking around the villa and walking up a sweeping staircase, we find two substantial bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. A nice touch, is that each bedroom has a wonderful veranda that faces west and offers wonderful views of the beautiful Caribbean sunset. Downstairs is open plan, in a large L shape (other than the separate utility room) which opens out on to a large patio garden with pool. It is worth noting at this point that the property has an internal safety deposit and a full alarm and intrusion system so is VERY safe. The location is approximately 200 meters from the coast road situated in a very pretty cul-de-sac. Surrounded by trees and green space, this makes for peace and tranquillity. I spent much of the time watching the hummingbirds and pretty sparrows feeding from the sweet water left out by the maid (who is in attendance 3 times a week) when not lounging around in the pool. Holetown is in central St James on the west coast of the island, 20 minutes up the coast road from Christchurch, 5 minutes from Sandy Lane and 10 minutes from Mullins beach. The villa is within walking distance of many fine dining restaurants, shops and bars - so there is plenty of opportunity to get out and about. There are plenty of fabulous beaches in the area again all within walking distance and all open to the public - even if they are attached to an hotel. We will be returning to Barbados in early 2009 and will absolutely be contacting Carlton to organise our stay…. Thank you Carlton – hope to see you soon. Daryl and Jenny.

The good, the bad and the ugly
The villa was nice and spacious and in an excellent location. The pool was nice and clean, and it was quiet outside (once the neighbours had gone out) Loved the Christmas tree and was so pleasantly surprised by the personal touch of a present. Fresh flowers too, made the place feel like home. Carlton was very responsive, friendly, well mannered and an asset to the property. The media were very good, with large TV, DVD player and cable TV. Nice undercover area on patio, so you can be outside if it rains and also shaded from the sun. The downside to this villa was the office right underneath our villa; this was just noisy (and this was at Christmas and New Year too). The office door kept slamming so hard that it rattled through our villa, open from about 7am, lots of people talking outside our front door, stamping of feet up the steps. We also had a couple of people ring our door bell to ask where Carlton was. They did not realise where the office was and what was a villa. This all need better planning. Running multiple businesses from this office also let to more disturbances. Vacuuming of cars for hire right outside the villa return as well as accountancy clients. Sadly, not much can be done about noisy neighbours, however as two of them live permanently in their apartment, may a polite chat could be had. Room for improvement We felt that the property was rather dated in places and needed some general maintenance and more accessories. One half of toaster was broken There were no wires plugged into TV initially, so we had to connect everything ourselves. The pool area needs tidying. It just looked scruffy. Furniture scattered everywhere, no neatly stacked, old lounger covers thrown over the fence. Rocks, coins and pegs just left on the window sills. Didn’t look like this area had been tidies for a while. The kitchen equipment was a mix of new and missing. There was a lack of food preparation items; eg mixing bowls, storage containers such as Tupperware, baking/casserole dishes. There were minimal plates and mugs; only 4 of everything (odd as this villa should sleep 6) There were no trays to take items to pool, which is where we lived for the week. Overall this is a great villa, but has been let down by the noisy office and the general upkeep of the property.

A wonderful villa in a perfect location, run by a great host!
We stayed at Vida Mejor East Pool for 9 days in March of 2022. Our reason for this pick was a combination of the pool, clean looking villa, ability to have 2 master bedrooms and location in holetown. To say we were happy with our choice is an understatement! We were welcomed warmly by Carlton and Peggy, who had the villa ready for us well before our arrival. Carlton was communicative, prompt and courteous from the moment of booking through the finialization of our stay. The villa is clean and air conditioned throughout, which was a very pleasant surprise. The pool was clean and well maintained, along with the seating area outside, which we used every day. Having on site laundry facilities and a fully stocked kitchen made the stay so easy. There is a fantastic supermarket and gas station within 3-5 minutes of walking from the villa. Also within 3-5 minutes are PLENTY of amazing restaurants, bars and luxury retail shopping. The beaches are also 3 minutes of walking away and are in my opinion some of the best on the island. I definitely suggest going to Zaccios for dinner and sundowners while having a swim. Carlton and his team also provide car rentals, which we rented a very convenient hybrid hatchback that sipped gas and allowed us to tour the island. Carlton, Thank you and your team for everything, you guys provide a wonderful experience and we can not wait to return to Vida Mejor!!

Great villa in an idyllic location
I’ve just returned from Barbados where I stayed at this villa for the 1st time, and it certainly won’t be my last! My family decided to spend our Christmas holiday on the west coast and were fortunate enough to have found this villa. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Carlton was amazing all the way through from initial contact to checking out. His communication was excellent, as well as his advice. We stayed in East Pool Villa (1 of 4 villas). We found it to be very comfortable, spacious and perfect for a family. The villa had everything needed for a holiday and did not disappoint. The location was excellent. 5-minute walk to a beautiful beach, major supermarket, restaurants and bars and Limegrove Mall. Although we hired a car through Carlton (Holetown Car Rental), everything is so close that you could easily get by without one. Zaccios, Jus Grillin and Sea Cat were our nearby favourite restaurants! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in East Pool Villa and look forward to returning again later in 2022. Thanks again Carlton for everything!!!

Great location...near beach, shops,resturants...villa layout very nice and spacious. Property manager very friendly and readily available. Some updates needed (larger beds in all rooms, shower faucets, air conditioning noise and cooking pots/utensils, housekeeper duties). Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful Oasis
We have just returned from staying at Waterfall. What a lovely villa! Set in quiet surroundings with just the burble of the water falling into the pool. However very close to the supermarket and the upscale Limegrove Mall with the beach and bars not much further. Peggy looked after us very well, and also the pool cleaned regularly. Can highly recommed.
