"This is an old coaching inn, which should have rung a few bells! It was a bit like a rabbit warren - so many nooks & crannies! Our room was at the top of the house which involved climbing a lot of very steep stairs. Our room was adequate with a comfy bed, nice clean white sheets & towels. No hair dryer, but not the end of the world! "

"Loved this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious with great views. My companion was not so lucky, insofaras their room was nearer a boiler or fan which could be heard until 11pm. Maybe a bit of sound proofing in the boiler cupboard would not go amiss, but otherwise this hotel was a very good find and I would not hesitate in booking there again. "

"An oasis near the centre of Taunton - All I needed was a beer, some food and a very comfy bed after a hard day and they obliged in ample measure. Although the chef count was down to one through an absence they still managed to rustle up a nice meal (thanks guys). The bed was huge and the room nice and large. Breakfast was ample. All in all it was what we all seek but find it hard to discover these days - Good Value. "

"Lots of on-site parking, easy walk into town, its bed only no breakfast but that was fine for us, oddly there was no one on site, access to the property was by emailed code which was tapped into the front door access panel, but that was OK for us, same with the rooms. The only staff member I saw and spoke to was the cleaner. "
