"The Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn is a budget motel accommodation that deserves a four-star plus rating. The property is well-suited for families, couples, groups and travellers with limited travel funds. This stay is our third time here spread over three years. For our most recent one-night stay, we paid less than A$199 for a premium king-bed room equipped with a sizeable jetted bath tub that could fit two adults and an extra child or a petite adult. With this luxurious amenity coupled with a clean and spacious room, we scored a good-value-for-money accommodation in a beautiful yet highly expensive holiday destination in the mid-north coast in NSW. The property is well positioned in the heart of Port Macquarie; but despite the heavy vehicular traffic in the daytime, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful in the evening. We slept like a log! Foremost, the reception was pretty much simple and straightforward with check-in and check-out formalities. We provided booking details and bob’s your uncle. We received our room key promptly with a friendly smile from the front-desk staff and enjoyed a relaxing spa bath to unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing and high-adrenaline holiday activities. Macquarie Barracks has always delivered the best of everything for us. Thank you very much!"

"cheap beautiful rooms for family stay near by Port macquarie (20 minutes drive). We found parking on site is limited and not clearly marked (i.e if partikng reserved for apartment next to it or for all), so we found it confusing. "

It is our oasis and go-to escape for a truly enjoyable and relaxing break. The property is lovely, and the owners Clyde and Sue the perfect hosts. "Loved our stay. The hosts were so accommodating and friendly. The farm is beautiful with lots of animals and the opportunity to see the animals throughout the stay with a daily morning tour of the farm as well. The cottage is just wonderful and well stocked it felt like home. "

"We really loved the location as it is on the water with the boat ramp across the road so easy to have the boat moored out the front of the house for our entire stay, there is a great cafe within walking distance and beach area to swim at. The house was great we had 2 families with 4 kids in total and the space of the house was great. Lots of board games and books to use. The bedrooms are huge. The beds are queen size but would have been better if they were King as there is plenty of space for that. Kitchen was fully equipped to cook in and everything easy to use including the bbq outside. There is not much privacy with the neighbours next door when sitting outside but that is just the location, they were nice enough so it did not affect our stay. Would come back to this property for another holiday. "

"Great spot if you've got kids of swimming age. Very nice waterpark to enjoy. We were just stopping over on our way down to Sydney. Limited facilities around the property (dining etc). But only a 20 minute drive to Port Macquarie. And facilities in the cabin were fine if you brought your own and we're cooking. Plus bbq facilities privided"
