"Warm welcome on arrival. All matters explained for my stay. Everything provided and to a high standard. Comfortable bed and room. Lovely breakfast spread and freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. "
"Set in lovely countryside views, owners & staff all veey friendly & helpful, fabulous choice of breakfasts, meals available during evening also with a varied menu including gluten free. No hesitation in recommending The Royal Oak for any length of stay, wish we could have stayed for longer!!!!"
"This is a really nice, out-of-the-way place. It is part of a working farm but is very quiet indeed. The owner (Jane) is very attentive and a very good cook (the breakfast was particularly excellent). If you're looking for some peace, and some old-fashioned hospitality, this is a really great option."
"This was a convenient location for the C2C. Food was not bad pub food. Accommodation in need of refurbishment which is a shame as the building has great potential. Staff friendly and accommodating."
"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. "Check in was busy due to many guests arriving at the same time but the staff dealt with it well and were very friendly. It's a beatiful old building with nice modern rooms. The bathroom was big with a walk in shower and a large bath.
The restaurant dinner was really very good and also great service from the staff.
I did not use the spa or pool facilities so can't comment on them."
"Fantastic food in this lovely old pub. Really enjoyed my stay and was really impressed with the food. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The chips were outstanding! I will definitely be back when im next in the area. "
