Tahoe trip
The internet did not work during our entire stay at the property. The smoke detectors in the guest house ran out of battery and beeped all night. The property management fixed it the next day. There were no shampoos or body washes in some of the bathrooms. The house is too crowded with stuff and there is not enough space to move around. We had hard time finding the property in the midst of snow and the lights were turned off when we arrived which made it even harder to find the property.

Beautiful home - needs updates and better management
Home is beautifully historic but overcrowded with unnecessary furniture and nick knacks making a small living space even smaller. Kitchen is also actually small, and counters have useless clutter. Kitchen is not well stocked for cooking. Pans are old and Teflon is scratched and unsafe, utensils are few and worn out. Guest house toilet was missing a toilet seat. This was reported when we got to the house. Two days later I had to call and ask if it was going to be fixed. Even though when I called, I was told it would be taken care of the next day, they finally came out two days later and only because I called again. I also reported that the TV was not working. The dish was covered in snow and management asked if we were able to clear it. The dish is on the roof! Maintenance and management could not get the TV to work either. We were told it has an odd hookup and they could not figure it out. House stays hot in the downstairs bedrooms and cold upstairs. Stairs are steep and slippery. Three of us fell on them. The only bathtub did not have a stopper. We used a washcloth and management said they would have to check with housekeeping to see why there was no stopper. House sleeps 12 but dining table seats 4 and living room seats 6. House is actually too small for 12 even when some are children. Inside washer does not work. There is no signage to use outside washer that is behind locked storage doors. We found this out when maintenance finally came out and installed the toilet seat. Snow is not shoveled out the back door or on the deck. This space is not usable, even though advertised as such. We were grateful to be able to get out family together and these small issues did not deter from our time, but they were certainly aggravating considering our 4-night rental was almost $9K. Although the clutter is the homeowner's issue and of course their choice as to how they present their house, all of the maintenance issues fall back on management. I reached out to them privately when they asked for a review and sent all of these issues in an email directly to Lake Tahoe Accommodations so as not to post them publicly. It's been two weeks and I have had no response from the management company, which is the only reason I am posting this review now.

Great location! Super cute! But know before you go........
The home is the perfect "cozy Tahoe cabin" vibe. Overall really loved it. Although a few "know before you go" tips: 1. The summer picture of the house is a bit deceiving- While the detached bedroom is well appointed, it is detached from the main house (it looks like one large house from the pictures). And in snow and cold that was not ideal. The snow was NOT cleared for us and after traveling 4 hours with toddlers and infants in the car, we had to shovel 6 ft of snow down two long walkways to even get IN to the house. We didn't bother with the detached room on the first night and had to cram and sleep on the floor etc for the first night there. 2. Advertises as a 5 bedroom- but only if you don't want privacy. The detached room is a bedroom with a loft that has two beds in it. So...FYI. 3. I had read previous reviews and noticed they said a lot of the lightbulbs were out. We were surprised when we arrived that sure enough, those bulbs were all still out. Being "snowed in" and not being able to see much out the windows, the room was a bit dark and having better lighting would have been helpful. 4. The appliances need to be updated! Good luck cooking anything and have it come out ok! lol. Also.....only one tiny fry pan, one large pot (no smaller pots to cook soup etc). Needs an update on amenities and, appliances and lightbulbs. 5. For over $1,700 a night, we expected a real coffee pot, not "Motel 6" Keruigs. So while there we went out and bought a coffee pot to use. * Only a Keurig in the detached room too. 6. Was disappointed to learn the fireplace was gas and did not put out any heat to speak of. (But gas fireplace in detached room did! ). 7. Garbage bin was filled to the brim...so we could not put garbage out. (management hadn't emptied it). Overall, who ever is managing the house is slacking. They came to clear the snow for us on our third day there....long after we took time out of OUR day to shovel 6 ft high snow a good 12 ft. Again, the house seems like a great fit for a summer vacation and hopefully these things will be taken care of. When paying over $7,000 for three nights, our expectations tend to get higher. When the little things aren't maintained, it robs you of your ability to relax as you are dealing with what should be ready for you....for that price. Id rent this house again in summer only. And hopefully by then the "little things" will be taken care of .

Beautiful historic home
Charming remodeled cabin & guest cottage were quite comfortable for us. Stunning views & lakefront property with private beach. The property can easily sleep 12 people although the living area in the main house would be a bit crowded with that many people inside. The backyard overlooking the lake is beautiful. Lots of personal photos in the house & guest house, leaving us wanting to know more about the history of the property. Lots of knickknacks & decor throughout (loved the framed 1935 child's bathing suit that apparently belonged to a family member). Although it was interesting to see all of this, it might be difficult if you have small children as there is lots to get into. Thankfully our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter was primarily interested in being outside or "talking" to the crackerjack raccoon! The property is lovely & property management was helpful & attentive to a few glitches we ran into. Would have been helpful to have a few instructions on how to operate some of the appliances but we managed. There is some traffic noise. We were there when the weather was cooler so windows were closed & that helped but the cabin is set back off a busy street. Thank you for sharing your lovely family cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location
Overall the place was great! Location was perfect, right on the lake, the views were beautiful besides the haze from the wildfires. The house inside was beautiful. My only complaints are the pillows are not very comfortable so maybe bring your own. And the house needs to be maintenance. There are some missing light bulbs and some of the light switches are missing and don't work especially the ones in the time out cabin. Besides these minor things though, the house is really awesome. There is only one bathroom with a tub the rest are showers. Management was great and quick to respond to any problems we had. The kitchen was VERY fully stocked and had just about everything you'd need for cooking. The neighborhood was very quiet, even though you have houses next to you, there are so many trees you can't even tell and everybody was really quiet. Heaters worked great, however there are no AC's so if your hot blooded you'll have to rely on opening the windows, they are all screened. We were comfortable with 7 of us but there's certainly room for more. Overall, we'd def stay here again, very beautiful house just needs some looking in on with a few things. Also, a small hotplate in the time out cabin would be awesome to be able to cook a few things. You'll not be disappointed in the views as this cabin sits right on Lake Tahoe. Thank you for a great stay!

Cried a little, when we had to pack and leave
This home on the lake was a perfectly nostalgic stay for our family. Kind of wished we never had to leave. The family, is already talking about making it an annual trip.
