The room was clean and has basic things you need. The microwave in the room was a nice touch. I bought breakfast at the grocery store next door and warm up my food. "Accommodations for five to sleep, but ONLY a small couch for TWO people to sit. No extra stools or chairs. Very uncomfortable to relax. Not even a bath stool in the shower room. "

The hotel is located close to many of Kurashiki's attractions, but is ~15 minute walk from Kurashiki station which was slightly inconvenient with luggage, but not a major issue. "The hotel has a great location and really impressed me as we arrived 3 hours early for check-in and yet they gave us our room. The staff were fantastic and helpful at every turn. It’s located close to the historic district, close to Kurashiki Station, Achi Shrine, and T.S.L. Store (Traveler’s Notebooks). I normally do not talk about the amenities such as soaps etc…. But the Kurashiki Art Hotel is top tier. What amazed me most was the sheer number of choices in the room itself, including: bath...
