"A delightful place to stay. Right on the sea with a splendid terrace. Restaurant, bar service, swimming pools, a gym and lots of free parking. A splendid hotel for a base to explore south Devon.
A lift is available for most floors."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at this comfortable and very reasonable hotel.
Staff were polite, decor was tasteful and opulent. It was very clean and the breakfast was very tasty.
There was nothing to complain about. "
"Certain fixtures with in room need a bit of TLC. Hotel staff are allways attentive and excellent. We allways enjoy our stay at this hotel. A good central location for visiting all local attractions."
"Stunning country castle style hotel. Rooms finished to a very high standard. Staff were wonderfully attentive, seemed genuinely pleased to help and proud of their establishment.
Packed with history and a real oasis of peace and comfort.
Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious with a wide choice of options. I felt that the dinner option I had was a bit “nouveau cuisine”, lots on the plate but not much there. But what was there was very well prepared.
Spa was very pleasant, although a bit of a shame that the steam room was out of order, as well as the lift to the spa.
Will be staying again, it’s not cheap, but you pay for what you get. "
"This was a great place , one staff member stood out , was so accommodating, sorry forgot name , blond with possibly a Dutch accent. Helped with storing a surprise wedding anniversary cake. "
"Rooms, food and staff were all outstanding. Excellent location with a lovely terrace area. Only 1 minute from the beach and high street. Best sleep I've had in a long time."
"A glorious stay in room 412 which for us (couple and 4y/o on a sofa bed) was absolutely perfect. Double balcony with the most wonderful views, well proportioned room with everything we could need and a very nice touch of a complimentary welcome Salcombe Gin & Tonic in our room!
Parking was convenient with the porter parking for us and was handled quickly and efficiently.
The pool facilities were beautifully clean and tranquil and enjoyed especially by our daughter on the child permitted hours.
Food and drink great too and friendly restaurant staff - would highly reccomend this hotel.
