"The Knighton Hotel is quiet and well-located. Unfortunately, they don't do meals, although they do have a coffee shop, which I didn’t try as I was out allday walking. "23A High Street is a timber framed mid terrace cottage with ancient beams exposed inside. It is highly decorated with knickknacks with a hare theme.Knighton is a small very hilly quiet town. I had no difficulty finding free street parking, but spaces are limited. Tom loves to meet new guests, and he allows them free use of his well equipped kitchen. I will go again if there is another log show at Builth Wells (40 minutes drive) "

"Overall good stay Checkin is 3-6pm which I didn’t realise during booking. Had to phone and wait to get let in as it’s all locked up. Can arrange a late checkin prior which I’ll do in future. "Our visit to Mellington Hall Country House Hotel was fantastic. The property is amazing, the staff were really attentive and amazing also. The food was superb and the service throughout was exceptional. After the meal we sat in the lovely building which has quiet rooms or an open fire. We went just before Christmas and so the property was probably quieter than during the summer months, but we definitely would return to enjoy walking in the surrounding countryside. "What a wonderful mini break for my husband and I plus our two little dogs. We stayed at The Fox and were greeted warmly by staff on arrival. Everyone was so friendly. The town was absolutely stunning, gorgeous buildings, quaint shops and pubs. We ate in The Fox on our first night and the food was wonderful and great value for money! Our little dogs enjoyed their stay also and were fussed over by everyone! Highly recommend The Fox if you’re in the area"
