"My wife and enjoyed our stay in cabanas, the resort was bigger than we expected and definitely more family oriented, but still very enjoyable for us. The flat was very lovely, had what we needed and a nice covered patio. The local grocery store was a 5 min walk and well stocked. Day trips to Tavira were not expensive but you can’t walk from Cabanas to Tavira, it’s bus or taxi. "Great hotel and very friendly staff. The outside pool is cold. Reception staff went above and beyond. We arrived at 1 in the morning and still got checked in after calling the out of hours number. Check in only took 5 mins. Walking distance to the beach although there are no pavements so you need to walk on the road. "

"A great place and excellent base for getting to know the Algarve. The apartment has everything you would need, excellently equipped and with plenty of space. It's close to the beach and the other facilities in the Pedras del Rei complex but just minutes away from the motorway or the railway line, within walking distance of the great restaurants in Santa Luzia. "We had a Ria view room with lovely views, especially as the weather was good. We liked the fact that the hotel is very tranquil at this time of year. Although the rooms are not spacious it was a very comfortable large bed, bottled water and fridge in the room. The food was of a very good standard and a reasonable range of options. Staff all professional and friendly.Hoping to return next year."

"Staying in the deluxe room with the jacuzzi on the patio was a must. It’s a short walk to town although the restaurant food quality was a bit disappointing and restaurants were empty due to the season. We didn’t dine at hotel. However we capped off each night with a drink in the hotel’s fabulous rooftop bar. The hotel was almost empty so it was surprising we had to wait for our room( we arrived early) but they kept saying not ready when when we finally came back at the specified check in time there was a lineup and then we had to wait even longer. However the gentleman at check in was helpful when we were trying to get a package delivered. "

Four nights in Monte Gordo.

"Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. Was a small fishing village before tourism and no natural harbour so the fishing boats are launched by tractor pushing them into the sea. Many eateries, cafes etc in the town. The bed we had was very comfy and the shower was so lovely , with power and heat. Also had a fridge in the room. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Cheers 😁😁"
