This property is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but is just a short walk from bathhouse row and all the shops. We loved the simplicity of the rooms and the rate was fair. We loved the complimentary water bottle for us to fill up at the Happy Hollow natural spring, located just a few steps from our door. Even though we didn't bring our four-legged children on this trip, we appreciate that they are pet-friendly. The only thing I would recommend is painting or laying traction tread at the ends of each step on your staircases. The monotone gray made it hard to distinguish each step which caused my husband and I both to experience some precarious stumbling (and yes, we were sober).

Cozy hotel with retro vibe. Unbeatable location within 0.3 miles of downtown, with trails that start right out the front door. Very friendly staff. If you value large luxurious bathrooms, this is not your pick. If you value location and immersion into the atmosphere of historic Hot Springs, this is the way to go.

It's a typical motel-style hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was really lovely for check in. The location can't be beat. It's a two minute walk down the hill to get to Bathhouse Row, shopping and restaurants, and there's a cold water drinking spring right next door. We would absolutely stay again.

What a great place! The staff was very nice and helpful, I felt welcomed when we arrived, like I just came home and met a friend. The room was clean, with comfortable beds, and a nice shower. We had a small kitchenette with a sink, dishes, microwave, coffee pot, and kitchen table. We loved the balcony and enjoyed sitting outside with our morning coffee and cocktail at the end of the day. Super walkable location, trail heads right across the street, about a block from Bathhouse row, and there was a water filling spot right next to the hotel. We didn't move our car until it was time to go home. If we visit Hot Springs again, we will definitely stay at The Happy Hollow again.

I’m in love with this place. Thankfully I only live 4 hours away - I can’t wait to go back!! So friendly and lovely and private - up the road from Bathhouse Row, but within walking distance. Just perfect.

Loved our stay at Happy Hollow, my only complaint was the bathroom/shower was small. Other than that we had a great time and was happy being able to walk to many things. Loved having the trail right across the street and the hotel is in a quiet area.

Retro but updated. All the basics you need for a comfortable nights stay. If you plan on walking around a lot and spending only a little time in your room, this is perfect for a budget friendly option. But they do offer cable and 300 channels if you decide to be lazy in bed. Everything was super clean, no carpet, staff had extra supplies if needed, ice available with disposable buckets, plenty of parking, spring water fill-up station literally around the corner, and just across from the entrance for the mountain tower path. I've stayed here twice now and absolutely love how peaceful it is. Also, if you're thinking of someplace else because of a pool, there's no need. Literally less than 10 minutes away (walking) is the Quapaw bathhouse where you can pay $25 for a day pass to soak in their mineral pools. They have a little cafe inside as well for drinks and snacks.

Thank you for allowing us to use the pool before check in. And then check in early. Rooms and property were really cute. Bed felt cushy at first but quickly after, I realized the mattress was very old and in need of replacement. But overall, worth the price.
