Jerry keeps a clean and neat property, which is conveniently located in the middle of the Keweenaw Peninsula to get to Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor, Houghton, McLain State Park, Torch Lake and others. My wife and I stayed with 2 dogs and were very comfortable. Complete kitchen, pull out love seat and a separate bedroom.

Clean and cute unit, well-stocked with needed supplies. Nature and walking path on a picturesque pond just down the road. Local historic places within close driving. Great dining and casual food options nearby. Rivers and Lake Superior…we’ll be back!

Clean and secure!
The cottage was very clean and very secure. We traveled to Copper Harbor for two days and Houghton for one. This property was about equal distance from both and suited us very well. The view from the property wasn’t great, but it was quiet and peaceful.

Perfect Cottage Close to Houghton and Hancock
The cottage was just the right size for my partner and I for the long weekend! Very cozy and came with everything that we needed. The Wi-Fi was slow at times and we couldn't get the netflix to load on the TV in the living area, but it worked just fine on a personal laptop :). The shower gets hot and there is a lot of privacy! The owner and his wife were super easy to work with and very helpful to solve any problems we encountered. We would stay here again!

Convenient
I had stayed at a different property with some buddies of mine in August for a motorcycle trip. Had to bring my girlfriend to see the area and wanted to try and different place. Glad I did, was clean, modern, and located well. Will most likely stay again in the future.

Small cabin ok for snowmobile or ORV fans
We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin that was very clean. Located next to a complex of mini storage units and also to the Swedetown trails, we experienced noise in the evening due to ORV riders nearby. The units are newer but small even for 2 people with luggage. The units are set up in 2 rows facing each other with no mature landscaping so the outside exposure is basically a picnic table overlooking the parking lot. This would be ok as a convenient one night stop to explore the Calumet area but not for an extended stay in the summer.

Nice cottage. Could use few tweaks.
Nice cottage. Would I pick it again for our stay? Yes, because I think it’s reasonably priced and fairly clean. I would also recommend it to friends, however I feel it’s important to share this review so future guests can benefit from it. The description says that they provide some cookware. 3 small scratched used to be non stick pans are not enough though. Had to buy a pan in a nearby Dollar General. I wish I knew this, I would have brought one of my own. Utensils were cheap and not clean, which made me question cleanliness of bedding. We always bring our own bedding just in case and I’m glad I did. I’m not saying it wasn’t clean , I just feel that the bedding (sheets)should be white and crisp.. Also they claim that his is newly renovated cottage. I saw that they did some new work, all the baseboards and trim had nail staples marks but the floor was laminate that had started peeling in the bathroom. Why not have tiles in the bathroom? A lot of scuff marks onthe walls and like I said all the trim not painted. All the doors could use some cleaning and painting as well. I appreciate the toaster, micro and coffee machine. Place also had a full stove but the oven wasn’t clean. Burned bits at the bottom causing a lot of smoke . Those are some important things that really need attention.it’s nice that they had a small grill outside and 2 anorak chairs as well as the bench area for outdoor eating. This cottage is nice and cozy but with my best intentions I’m suggesting the owners put a coat of paint and invest in a magic eraser.. also a decent pan and maybe a small pot that is clean and not scratched as well as few descent utensils and few plates that are not plastic would go a long way.

Pet friendly
You need to say by your pet friendly listing that the pet can’t be over 20 pounds. I had pretty much finished the booking our stay when I saw dogs couldn’t be over 20 pounds. We found a kennel with openings so it worked out. Just needs to be listed sooner. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Perfect for Swedetown Events
We stayed at the cabin during the Great Bear Chase. The location, close to Swedetown Trails, is perfect. The cabin suited our needs well, and it was toasty warm during a blustery, cold weekend. The property owner quickly replied to our questions. Thank you!
