After Expedia's virtual credit card was declined, i had to pay for the room again. I also paid extra for an early check in and a late check out that the property didnt see the notes on until i mentioned it to them. The pool was closed and there was no hot tub.

Terrible Experience - Double Charged and Full of Hassles My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston West Park 10 was a nightmare from start to finish. I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived, the front desk said I hadn’t paid and had no record of my booking. I had to pay again, getting double-charged. The employee said I needed to resolve it with Expedia for a refund, despite this clearly being the hotel’s mistake. The hotel itself was in poor condition. The water from the pipes was rusty, and the hallways and rooms reeked of a musty chemical smell. The elevator near the lobby was out of service, so I had to walk to the far end of the building, only to reach my floor and walk all the way back to my room. On top of that, my key cards didn’t work. After several trips back and forth to the front desk, the employee eventually followed me and, after 10 minutes of trying, got the card to work. But every day, I had to deal with the key cards malfunctioning. The night front desk employee was also rude and acted like helping guests was a burden. It took over an hour of sitting in the lobby and going back and forth with both Expedia and the hotel before they admitted their mistake and issued a refund. Between the double charge, the rusty water, the bad smell, and terrible customer service, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The rooms are outdated which isn't a big deal. However, the side entrances didn't lock, our room keys kept deactivating, shower dripped all night even though it was off, restroom was missing door knobs, mold on ceiling, the beds were more like XL twins my teens could barely fit and they have no roll aways, the hairdryer almost caught on fire when I plugged it in amongst other things. I don't remember it being that bad when I stayed last time. I told front desk about the issues and was told that they'd make a note and accommodate me which didn't happen.

This hotel was relatively close to where I needed to be. It fared well through the hurricane. But there was no refrigerator or microwave, a fact I didn't think to check on when booking. Due to the hurricane there was very little breakfast on Monday and there was a group of 6 children there without any adults, taking almost everything available.

I only made it to the front desk as they cancelled my CONFIRMED reservation 15 minutes after I arrived to check in. I was told at the front desk that they had cancelled my reservation by email. They literally left me stranded. I was displaced from my home due to loss of power from the freak storm that hit Houston. I will NEVER stay at a LaQuinta or any Whyndham property ever. Poor business practice.
