Summary:
We offer a very relaxed, next to nature, homey setting that will leave you feeling like you never left home.

The Space:
We are an eight-acre located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in the Arkansas River Valley of Howard, Colorado. At Black Bear Retreat, we offer a relaxed, quite, peaceful, natural Colorado Environment. A true Colorado experience. We're just 12 miles east out of historic Salida, Colorado, with Twin Sister Mountains as a backdrop and stunning 360 panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. The River is right across from us and there are numerous access points to get to the river.

*Please note that while we do have wifi on the property, high mountain winds and storms do cause occasional outages which are beyond the control of the property hosts.

At the time of booking a digital Rental Agreement will be sent out and must be signed before check in.

It was adequate, but could definitely use an update.

Mediocre. The room is too warm and stuffy, air conditioner doesnt work well at all. Bedding, sheets, towels etc were clean. Bed was comfortable though. Hard to see parking lot entrance is hard to see in the dark.
