Spend quality time with family and friends down by the dock which features two ladders for easy in-and-out when you want to swim (or float peacefully in the cove away from all of the boat traffic). Better yet, take the family out in kayaks or canoes and paddle from the private dock out to the nearby natural area and enjoy a picnic on the lake. Or, take your boat or jet ski to launch at Mitchell's Marina and dock your watercraft at the house.
You also may want to visit the nearby Smith Mountain Dam and learn about the history of Smith Mountain Lake. Then, head back to the house to unwind on the screened-in porch with a glass of wine, enjoy the backyard patio and fire pit, cozy up in front of the fireplace, or flip on the big-screen TV for movie night. Add an air hockey table, a selection of board games, and DVDs, along with a fully equipped kitchen and leaving may be more difficult than you imagine. This home away from home is perfect for relaxing after a fun day out on the lake!
House Rules for Your Stay
Responsible Renter: You must be at least 25 years old to rent the property. Proof of age may be requested. A parent or legal guardian must accompany guests under this age.
Occupancy Limit: The property is strictly limited to the number of guests specified in your reservation, as listed in the house advertisement (ages 2 and above). This maximum occupancy cannot be adjusted. Exceeding this limit is a breach of contract and may result in immediate eviction.
Pets Policy: Only dogs are allowed in approved pet-friendly homes with a paid fee. All pets must be leashed and under control at all times. Emotional support animals are not permitted unless explicitly authorized in writing with a fee.
No Parties or Events: The property is for residential use only. Parties, events, or loud gatherings are not permitted and may result in immediate eviction.
Quiet Hours: To maintain a peaceful environment, please keep noise levels to a minimum between 10 PM and 8 AM. Respect the neighbors’ right to quiet enjoyment.
Trash Disposal: Guests must remove all trash upon departure and dispose of it in the designated facility. The cleaning fee covers routine cleaning only and does not include additional cleanup.
Property Respect and Maintenance: Report any maintenance needs immediately to ensure a prompt resolution. Treat the home as your own; any damages or excessive mess may result in additional charges. Please return all furnishings to their original positions upon checkout.
Follow Local Regulations: Abide by all local laws and regulations. No parking on lawns or adjacent properties; please respect all parking restrictions.
Emergency Preparedness: Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures. Keep emergency contact information accessible during your stay.
No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Please use designated outdoor areas for smoking and dispose of all cigarette waste properly.
