"Lovely spacious double room. With the added bonus of a small kitchenette. Good size shower and strong shower spray. Very friendly staff, owner is the breakfast chef and the breakfast was excellent. Had steak on our 1st night, i have to say its best steak I've had for a long time and with proper homemade chips. Village is small enough to wander around to walk with various sites to see. "The building itself is beautiful, a Victorian country house, and set in woodland. There's plenty of parking at the front of the hotel. Inside, it was welcoming and clean. "A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."
