"I reserved a room upgrade got a Accessible Room. The bed was old not fit for purpose. The hotel was like an old folks home tired and badly appointed. They started breakfast at 8am because I had appointments locally from 8am had to skip breakfast. The vast majority of hotels I stay at breakfast starts at 7am. When I questioned why I had been given an accessible room the lady told me I was lucky to get a big bathroom completely missing my point. You would be better off booking a B&B locally. Sorry...

"Just back from South Lodge and want to say thank you very much to Steve & Tony. We arrived early and the rooms were ready, they were spacious, clean, beds were comfy the decor was lovely. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of and not for the fainthearted. Parking at the property spot on as you dont always have that luxory. Well stocked Tea & Coffee in the room and the homemade cookies were very tasty and a chocolate finished off the welcoming. Toiletries were top quality. Nothing was too much...

"Accommodation was expensive but as we was only staying for 1 night we thought we'd spoil ourselves. Accommodation was 3 steps(I counted) to the bar/restaurant which was beautifully furnished,and the restaurant overlooked the harbour.I would say probably the best seats in the house to enjoy our evening meal,and gorgeous Yorkshire breakfast.Definitely will stay here again if there's a show we want to go to at the Spa, ideal location."
