Access the cabin using a door code, which you will receive three days prior to your check-in date. Parking is available in the driveway; however, please note that it can become icy in the winter, so we recommend bringing a vehicle equipped with 4-wheel drive and snow tires.
You will have access to the entire property and cabin, except for the basement, which is used for storage and laundry only. Please refrain from opening the hatch located on the main floor under the stairs.
Please note that there are 62 steps leading up to the cabin, which may not be suitable for everyone.
Guests also have access to the Hidden Valley Property Owners Association private beach, located just a 10-minute walk from the cabin. Please note that smoking, glass, and dogs are not allowed at the beach.
TreeHouse Neighbourhood
Our TreeHouse sits high in the eclectic, safe, and serene neighborhood of Hidden Valley. This community is the heart of Muskoka's four-season recreational mecca, home to a diverse mix of full-time and part-time residents, as well as many guests seeking relaxation and outdoor adventures.
The hilly landscape offers scenic views and a unique charm, with winding roads leading you to nearby trails, the lake, and various outdoor activities. While many attractions are within walking distance, having a vehicle is often more convenient for reaching Hidden Valley Ski Club, Hidden Valley Resort, and Deerhurst.
Additionally, the vibrant town of Huntsville is just a 10-minute drive away, making it feel like a true escape. You'll experience a blend of recreational resort vibes and the quaint charm of a family neighborhood, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
TreeHouse Transit
Getting to our TreeHouse is easy! The property is conveniently located just off Highway 60, making it accessible for guests traveling by car.
For the most convenience, we recommend driving, as many attractions and amenities are best accessed this way. There’s ample parking available on-site, with space for up to three vehicles in the driveway. Please note that during winter, the driveway may become icy, so we recommend a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and snow tires.
Our TreeHouse is just a 10-minute drive from the vibrant town of Huntsville, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants, shops, and local attractions. While there is no Uber service in the area, taxis are available for transportation to and from the town.
Additionally, you’ll be only 15-30 minutes away from several provincial parks and nature reserves, including Arrowhead Provincial Park and Algonquin Provincial Park, perfect for hiking, canoeing, and winter sports. Plus, you're minutes from Penn Lake, Hidden Valley Ski Club, and beautiful hiking trails, making it the ideal base for your outdoor adventures.
TreeHouse Notes:
We want to ensure you have a wonderful stay, so please take a moment to read these important notes:
Guest Capacity: The cabin is most comfortable for 2 guests but can accommodate up to 4 with the pull-out couch. Please note that a nightly fee applies for the 3rd and 4th guests. Contact us directly if you have any questions about this.
Accessibility: Our cabin sits at the top of the valley, with 62 wood and stone steps leading to the front door. While we would love for everyone to stay with us, the stairs may pose a risk for those with mobility or health issues.
Residential Neighbourhood: Although the cabin is situated high up and offers a private atmosphere, it is in a residential neighborhood and not completely isolated. We encourage you to read reviews and check pictures for a better understanding of the setting.
Dog Policy: Dogs must remain on a leash when outside and are not allowed on furniture. Please ensure your pet is clean before entering the cabin, and that waste is bagged and disposed of properly. Additionally, dogs are not permitted at the private community beach. Blankets, towels, bowls, and poop bags are provided for your convenience.
Driveway Information: The driveway is quite steep. While we maintain it regularly with plowing and sand, it can be challenging for some vehicles. We strongly recommend bringing a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and snow tires. If you have concerns about navigating the driveway, please feel free to park at the bottom of the hill, and message us if you need assistance.
House Rules: We kindly ask that you read through our house rules before booking to ensure a smooth stay.
We hope you enjoy your time at our TreeHouse and the tranquil beauty of the Muskoka region! If you have any questions or need assistance during your visit, don’t hesitate to reach out.
