Pheasant, an authentic mongolian yurt, is perfect for couples. It comes complete with a private well-equipped kitchenette and stylish bathroom right next to the yurt entrance.
Before entering the yurt, you will see our spacious wooden decking with built in barbecue and an eco wood-fired hot tub – perfect place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The decking comes with an outdoor table and seating. The BBQ can be dual propose either as a charcoal BBQ or a fire pit for those chilly evening.
The yurt is beautifully decorated with authentic mongolian materials and furnishings.
You will find a comfortable king size bed, plus an additional pull-out bed suitable for an extra adult or child; Phesant is ideal for one couple and one child.
Fully heated, warm all year round, it comes with an electric blanket for your added comfort.
Hayne Barn Estate – our private estate nestled in Kent countryside and surrounded by nature - is 20 minutes walk to Saltwood village, where buses go to Hythe and Folkestone. 8 minutes walk across the woods to Sandling station which has regular links to London, Dover and Folkestone but if it rains you need to follow the road and that takes 35 minutes.
The pretty town of Hythe is just 2 miles away and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a beach for enjoying a sport of swimming or water sports. For those wanting to explore further afield, Port Lympne Safari (just 5 miles away) and makes for a great day. Enjoy the 25% discount we offer.
Slightly further is Dover Castle (13 miles) and the historical city of Canterbury (18 miles) with its Cathedral and Marlowe Theatre.
Take a stroll along the Royal Military Canal which is a great way to see the local area.
Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy our on site Indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Courts must be booked and please bring your own equipment.
Keen walkers can explore the Saxon Shore footpath (150m away) - maps available. Cyclists can explore the cycling trails or just rent an e-bike to discover the area.
Just 2 miles away is Hythe, a pretty Kent town on the coast, with a good array of independent shops, restaurants, cafés and a gentle shelving beach so is ideal for keen swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.
A car is recommended but for those who enjoy walking or cycling it is not a problem. Taxis are available.

We have one other delightful yurt nearby “Woodpecker” , fully private and nicely separated by a decorative wooden hazelnut fence and trees; This yurt is ideal for one couple with 1 child, making it the ideal setting for 2 couples wishing to spend time away from home but remain independent.
Extra bed for third person charged at £50 per stay.
We will send you all necessary information prior to your arrival to prepare your stay with us, with discounts on certain activities, e-bike hire rental shops, restaurants and pubs or organising hampers delivered for a special celebration.
We supply a complimentary whole basket of logs, 1 bag of charcoal, firelighters and kindling enough to light the hot tub for the first night. You can purchase more logs (£13 per large basket and £3.00 per bag of charcoal) once you have arrived – but within normal hours – or before 11.00 am every day.
A complete folder is available on the table with all sorts of useful information, instructions to light the hot tub and telephone numbers for guests to contact us.

We do ask our guests to be respectful of other guests and to remain discreet at all times. Quiet times after 20.00 pm.
Smoking : not allowed.
Having our own dogs, we find that other pets are not compatible. Sorry.
