"It was nice staying at the hotel, but there was limited staff and not enough warning about restaurants and shops being closed on Sunday, including food delivery. The hotel accommodation was pleasant, but the hotel was isolated and the entrance caused problems for taxi hire. The one-way road was inconvenient and the room was near a noisy main road, so ear-plugs were an essential travel item. "I have just returned from a 5 night winter break here. I have travelled extensively but this hotel is up there with some of the best i have stayed in, certainly in Europe. "Set in a historic building in Orotava the hotel has a more guest house feel. Below is a restaurant which is open during the day. Bar the cleaner I didn't see much of the other staff, I guess they would be on hand if needed. There are plenty of breakfast options nearby. It was a relaxing stay, although the road outside can be noisy and the double glazing doesn't seem to do too much. For such a historic area it would be nice if they banned cars, it would raise the general appear of Orotava."
