We checked in on Friday, we’re taken to our room, after looking around it to our amazement we found the room in very poor condition IE.carpet was old and dirty the skirting boards were covered in dust and dirty ,the radiator had rust on it and behind it the wall was peeling away. The decoration needs to be improved. The furniture was minimal and only one small wardrobe for the two of us. After taking about the situation we decided not to stay which spoiled the start of weekend. In our opinion and seeing our room this hotel should not be open for business.Fortunately we managed to find another hotel tha could accommodate us.

Car parking £6 if available but when I stayed it wasn’t You can park on the street after 6 pm if spaces are available Staff very good and very welcoming Good for the price charged and there is a chippy if you walk towards the harbour or a Wetherspoon just down from the hotel

Excellent value for a budget priced hotel. Spotless facilities, comfortable bedroom, evening entertainment, and the buffet breakfast was exceptionally good. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.

It is a old style hotel. Our room was fine and what we thought we had booked is what we got. Looks like some updating is taking place. This is not 5 star, so anyone who thinks so and then comments are just putting this hotel down.

Great location and budget hotel. Location is within easy walking distance to the town. Parking is very tough however easy to pull up outside, unload and then find some alternative parking (we used the car park alongside Aldi). Staff are all very friendly. Hotel is a little run down - rooms etc - but for this price, we were very happy.

Hotel HELL with horrible host
The room is out of hot water and the shower tray is clogged. I ask the front desk for a fix or change of room at 11:00pm but the night shift manager said he cannot help, cannot change the room because he cannot access the system. I believe it is a lie. And he asked me to wait till the next day 07:30 when the General Manager is on duty. And he suggest me to have a bath tomorrow. I insist to have the GM for help and the night shift manager threatened me that if I wake her up, she will tell me to pack up !!. I insisted to have her help cos I am desperate. When the GM showed up, what she said is totally disappointed. The help / advice she provided are 1) Blamed me for waking her up at 11:30. But technically it is not me who woke her up. It is her night shift manager woke her up because he could not handle the issue. 2) packed up and go and she will refund me 3) come back at 07:30am but the fixing of hot water supply is not guaranteed 4) A change of room is not guaranteed on the next day. So, I just pack up and stay at another hotel

Great rates but room for improvement
Checked in, went to room someone already in there. Reception quickly apologised and 20 minutes later found us a room. Room fine but bed very uncomfortable and cobwebs in windows.Breakfast was really good but quality of coffee was weak and tasteless.

We had a couple of maintenance issues with the bathroom. The shower holder was loose, and the lighting was minimal, only 1 of the 3 bulbs were working. As a result of the poor lighting, the cleaning staff failing to clean the shower properly. Due to the lack of maintenance staff in the evening, I assisted in the replacement of one of the bulbs, as the concierge would have needed a step ladder to do it. However, despite these challenges, we had a great time, the staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, and the biggest plus for us was they were pet friendly. The night concierge was particularly friendly and extremely generous toward our Border Collie, Bodger, who in turn appreciated all the treats. With a bit more investment in the fabric of the building, both internally and externally, the proprietor will have a great little business on their hands.

Hotel is disgusting, carpets in the rooms look like they haven't been cleaned in years with stains everywhere. Bed very uncomfortable. Damp stains in the roof. Much of the hallways look like they are falling apart. Everywhere in the hotel stinks of mould and damp. Overall disgusting and very disappointing. Photos look amazing… rooms look nothing like this
