Embrace nature at Meadow - a cozy tiny home nestled in Indian River. This unique retreat offers direct access to scenic trails and the serene river, perfect for adventurers and peace-seekers alike. Surrounded by mature cedars and vibrant wildflowers, our eco-friendly haven invites you to unwind or explore. Whether you're tubing down the Sturgeon River, hiking nearby trails, or simply enjoying the tranquility of our forest, Tiny Meadow is your gateway to the wonders of northern Michigan.
Our property is quite unique. It was designed to offer our guests a moment to disconnect from the daily routines and immerse themselves into the beautiful and biodiverse surroundings.
As you reach our property, a short driveway with two parking spaces is located right off Rainbow Ln. There are two cabins on the property, each with one reserved parking space. Once you park, we invite you to walk on wooden pavers meandering through the beautiful cedar forest; before the final reveal, you will need to go up a small, unpaved hill. The journey between the driveway and the cabin takes 1-2 minutes by foot (~150 ft), and it is truly unique, embracing the natural features that we wanted to protect. The path through the woods is lit by fairy lights between dusk and ~1am. We also provide flashlights that can guide you at night.
Once you reach the upper land, you will be welcomed by our curated yard, where the two cabins are located. Meadow is the second cabin as you walk another ~60ft. In the yard, you will find a designated area for a full-size propane bbq grill, a few outdoor games in the box besides it, plus a stargazing circle with wood logs, right by the Arborvitae evergreens. The yard is illuminated by solar fairy lights, along with path lights that stay on between dusk and dawn.

Meadow is the cabin that truly invites you to an experience of peacefulness, overlooking the yard. We seeded the meadow with native wildflowers early this summer and we are hoping that some will sprout eventually and create an even more vibrant meadow.
- The queen size, memory foam bed with TempurPedic memory foam pillows is the perfect place to spend your nights and mornings watching the wildlife through the large picture window. If you prefer softer pillows, you can switch to the Sealy dawn alternative ones that are just as comfortable.
- The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for a stay at a cabin in the woods: plates, bowls, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, grilling utensils, spices, tea, coffee, creamer, french press. The 2 burner electric stove is ideal for the size of the cabin, along with the 3 cubic ft fridge w/ freezer.
- As you enter the bathroom, we created a spa-in-the-woods experience by adding a full-size shower with the necessary toiletries. You have hot water on demand with our instant hot water heater. The one challenge with our location in Northern Michigan is that the hot water flow will be on the lower side to ensure you can maintain the desired hot water temperature while using the shower. We recommend our guests to to embrace the low water pressure - you will not have the experience of a high-pressure shower, yet it is powerful enough to do the job, with the friendly reminder that you are in a tiny cabin in the woods :) It is an experience in itself!
- We prioritized our guests' comfort and privacy by adding room-darkening shades on all windows, and a blackout shade on the door.
- The private deck is where we love spending our evenings, turning on the fairy lights with the remote inside the cabin. The comfortable outdoor furniture is perfect for enjoying the sounds of nature as everything begins to slow down for the night. On chilly evenings, you can use the throw blankets for a cozy experience. The table-top fire pit is a great addition to that, or if mosquitoes are an issue, the citronella candle will take care of them. They are both located in the box on the deck.
If you want to go for a walk or a bike ride, we recommend the North Central State Trail which passes through the back of our property. It can take you up to Mackinaw City if you feel that adventurous :) The land across the trail is a state forest, as well as the land across Rainbow Ln, with frontage to Sturgeon River. 5 minute walk on Rainbow Ln towards White Rd, there is a popular launching spot for river tubing, kayaking, and rafting.
The property is located 6 minute-drive from downtown Indian River with several restaurants and local shops, and 4 minute-drive from Burt Lake State Park with a beautiful beach, boat lunch, and forest. Within a radius of 20-30 minute drive, you can reach many popular attractions, such as Mackinaw Bridge + ferry to the island, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, wineries, breweries, state parks, and so much more!
