Perfect group getaway
We had 14 guys on a golf trip and this house was perfect for all of us to stay in one place. It was clean, had plenty of room, and we loved hanging out in the backyard at night. I would recommend staying here for groups.

Great location
This house had a great location and was HUGE! Best part was it was very quiet! There were 10 of us here and when you went to bed tug couldn’t hear anyone who stayed up! The restaurant right next door was really good and very convenient!

This is a great house for our family reunions. Nine bedrooms with king or queen beds, and four baths
Big kitchen, fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals for three days, including kitchen & dining table to seat 18. Huge living area with lots of comfy seating. Very clean and well kept. Kid friendly.

Great family weekend!!!
We loved our time at the Raggety Ann and Andy house. Plenty of room for everyone.. The kids loved the pinball and skitball machines, there was very few times when they were not in use . The house was clean, had all amenities that was needed. Our family visited many of the area attractions offered. Family all said they would like to return in the future.

"Best trip ever"
From my group of 10 that take an annual trip, this was the "best trip ever" !! A lot of that sentiment was due to the great house house we rented. It is perfect in all respects: location, roominess, cleanliness and all the amenities that a group needs. Art was very easy to communicate with and met us at the door. No one had a single negative thing to say about the house.

What an amazing place to stay with a group of guests!
This is a welcoming, homey, perfect size, outstanding location for a group gathering. We were celebrating my daughters law school graduation with family and friends. Each of us commented how much we enjoyed being able to socialize in the backyard, our favorite spot! We also appreciated the games that were offered for a little healthy competitive fun!! Thanks Art!

This was a perfect place for our family to be together for a wedding weekend.
This home was very well equipped to host an open house for the bride and groom! In addition to allowing our extended family to stay together for the wedding weekend. The bedrooms were nice and the bathrooms were plenty big for all of us to get ready for the wedding. I would suggest ear plugs as the noise from the highway can be very loud for light sleepers. All in all it was a very nice place, very close and convenient to walk to places to eat and drink.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Not what we were expecting, but hindsight is 20/20
We knew that staying in a 100+ year old house would have its quirks, but I wish I had known: the house is next to a highway & train tracks (train honks at night). At least one of the bedrooms and bathrooms are windowless (thus poor ventilation). One of the rooms has two bunkbeds and the washer/dryer and the water heater... it's a utility room. The bathrooms and shaggy carpets need a deep clean and/or updates. Towels were old and raggedy, some bleach stained. What felt most deceptive was a laminated card in the kitchen asking guests to leave a 5-star review in exchange for a $600 gift card. So in hindsight, I would have had more realistic expectations if I didn't rely on reviews, and if I thought more about the fact that the listing does not include photos of all rooms. I did not contact the host about my concerns, as I felt like no immediate change would impact our stay. What was good: Check-in/out process was easy. Location is walkable to some nice cafes and restaurants. Enjoyed the board game selection.

Large place great for lots of people
The property was great for our group of Mom's at a volleyball tournament. Everyone had their own room. The mattress I was on was very old and saggy. If I were there with my husband would not have been comfortable. Some things could use to be updated, but overall

Great Memorial Day Weekend!
Our large group of friends in town for an annual Indy 500 weekend stayed here this year and loved it. There was plenty of room for everyone with ample space to gather inside and outside. Parking was easy and plentiful and the location was really convenient. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor gas grill and refrigerator came in handy. It was so great for us all to be able to stay in the same house instead of hotel rooms. Art was great to work with and was always available if we needed him. Thanks Art for making our 40th year at Indy so memorable!

Family Christmas Gathering
We had a Christmas family reunion of 20 adults. The house was perfect for us in the sleeping space, kitchen space, and very large family room to watch football games and large dining room for game playing (and eating). Even though it was chilly, we spent time playing games in the outdoor space as well and sitting around the fire. The house was well equipped with seating, bedding, towels, kitchen equipment, games, and books. Loved it so much that we want to book again next year.

SO MUCH CHARACTER!
We had a fabulous family reunion this past weekend. 10 kids (from age 2 to 18) and 10 adults! Great place - well equipped! Any questions or concerns and Art was right there to assist us. We are already planning another future reunion and hoping we can rent the Raggedy Ann and Andy house again. Walks downtown were fun and so much history to absorb. We loved the cobblestone streets and the Sub Zero Ice Cream Shop!

This house was very accommodating for the amount of people we had (20). Location is great.
The house was full of books, toys and board games to accommodate children along with most amenities necessary. We had 5 cars and there was plenty of parking. The house was very clean. I would have given 5 stars if the furniture, bedding and kitchenware were of higher quality. We loved that “Lime” scooters were everywhere near the house and you could easily travel via scooters all over downtown. We also walked to monument circle in about 20 minutes with no problem. With 20 people, half of which were children, we always had activities to do inside or near the home.

Perfect getaway for a large family gathering!!
The Lockerbie Square home was a perfect setting for our recent family gathering. Since the home had 10 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, it easily accommodated all of our needs! Because of the layout of the home and how solidly built it was, we were able to meet the needs of those that turned in early and those that were early risers!! No one disturbed anyone else in those situations. The kitchen was well-equipped and more than large enough to fix meals for all of us. Although it was hot/humid, we were able to sit out around the fire pit a few evenings - very pleasant. Lots of things to do around Indy, if you choose to venture out; or you can stay in and be entertained as well! All in all, we would highly recommend this home and the area for large group gatherings!

Wonderful Christmas Holiday!
This home was absolutely perfect for our large family Christmas celebration! The house is very roomy with plenty of large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Everyone had a seat for dinner, even with 20 guests! One of our favorite areas was the front parlor, where we could relax, read a book, or work a puzzle, all while enjoying the nostalgia of vinyl records. In the family room, we all had a great time playing darts, pinball, and video games. The weather was even warm enough for us to enjoy the fire pit in the back. The house is beautiful, nostalgic, and well maintained, and we found the Host very responsive and a great information resource. Street parking is plentiful, but there is also an auxiliary parking lot if needed for large gatherings. The Lockerbie Square location is walkable to many downtown Indy hot spots. We will definitely be back for our next family celebration.

Indy Family Fun
Our 17 family members, ages 10 through 79, spent the week that included the 4th of July. We could watch several firworks displays from the corner by our home. The home is a very old historic 3 story house with plenty of bedrooms for all. It was called the Raggedy Anne home and there were alot of pictures, dolls and other memorabilia of the Raggedy Anne doll. The location was good in that it was close to a lot of restaurants, breweries and wineries. Some of the breweries were within walking distance. Several restaurants were also close enough to walk to. We all enjoyed ourselves. We found enough restaurants to accommodate all of us. We especially had fun at the Garage Food Hall, a large building with a collection of diverse eateries. We split up in four groups and played their Trivia game. One of our groups came 1st and another was 3rd. Lot of family fun. The only major issue was the area was under construction with several street closures and noise. This is only temporary so we will still consider returning. .

Owner not helpful/unresponsive
We booked this house for the Big 10 Tournament which was canceled on our drive from Michigan to Indy due to the Corona virus. I reached out to the owner to see if we could cancel and he said No. We contracted VRBO who also contacted him to encourage him to refund our money. He refused. Initially I understand his unwillingness but as time went on and the world was put on hold- the owner and I had several more conversations about refunding our money. He continued to refuse saying the house was Too popular and booked for the rest of the year to allow us to cancel. When I searched VRBO - the house was still available many weeks during the year. I still hadn’t received my security deposit back after several weeks despite attempting to contact him several times. Finally I had to threaten him before he returned my call and blamed the late security refund on VRBO. Amazing I got an e-mail after this phone call that the owner had just released the deposit! The house was in a bad part of town with the express way literally on top of it. Hopefully this pandemic never happens again-if I go to the tournament again I certainly wouldn’t book this house! I would warn you to beware also!
