Best Cozy Barn in the Canadian Rocky Mountains with private Hot Tub + bon fires

Our barn is soooo much more then a barn: cozy, lots of space, great bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms! Warm, surrounded by wilderness, nature, wildlife and space. Each bedroom has its own character, big kitchen and big bathrooms. And the living room is breath-taking! Close to everything: golf courses, natural hot springs, lots of lakes where you can swim in the summertime and skate or cross country ski in the winter time. Almost any outdoor activity you can think of is available on or close by the property! Skiing, hiking, [mountain] biking, horse back riding, swimming, ATV-tours, wild water rafting.......it all starts right at the barn. Great for singles, couples and groups. Also great for events like weddings or........!
Although only 20 minutes from town you are surrounded by nature, space and wilderness. Breathtaking! On our farm we keep the famous Friesian horses [you might have seen these in movies like "The Hunger Games", "Zorro", "The Caravan", etc.

You can enjoy the surrounding beauty while relaxing in your own private cedar hottub that is heated by firewood.

It is important to know that firewood is not included in the price. You will need firewood for the hottub and firepit/ barbeque. You are more then welcome to bring your own firewood, or purchase it from us. We sell 1/4th of a cord for $140.

Property is amazing and is set up to accommodate larger groups. Gerard was very helpful and ensured we were looked after. Kids loved feeding the horses and adults enjoyed the views and serenity of the property. Will definitely be going back to visit Gerard and Caio.

Family Reunion at the barn cabin!
Overall it was a fantastic family reunion spot. We had a group of 16 people. Plenty of beds. Everyone said their bed was super comfy and my parents said they had the best sleep! (they had the king room) 4 bathrooms were perfect for our group and there was plenty of extra towels and toilet paper. The washer and dryer was an added bonus! With playing outside and sitting around a fire clothes can get dirty quick. The main room has multiple sitting areas, we especially liked being able to all sit at the large table for dinners .The kitchen has everything you need. Some pans could use an upgrade, but we made it work. The outside of the property was quite large. The barn is surrounded by cement with a basketball court/net (there is a basketball provided), which was a nice surprise. The rest of the area is a dirt area. There is not much grass in the area by the barn, but a short walk and there is plenty in the surrounding areas. Our dogs still had a great time running and playing in the area! Plus we were still able to play catch, horseshoes, darts etc (we brought those games..but Gerard might be able to provide some if you ask him). Don't let the dirt turn you away!! Gerard was super helpful and wanting to help with anything and everything. It was so nice to be able to buy ice from him instead of having to go to town...and a better deal! The only con we had was there was a wedding happening on the Saturday (the day after we arrived) so there was multiple people coming in and out of the barn area to get supplies etc. With 2 large dogs that don't like strangers this added some stress. But we made it work and still had a fantastic time. If you're looking for a nice spot for a wedding or reunion this is for sure the spot to book. Gerard and his wife will be sure to take care of you! Thanks again Gerard!

Amazing place and experience!
The property was great, and the barn was the perfect venue for a week focused on team building. The unexpected came in the form of our hosts, Gerard and Caoi. I had read some of the reviews about the hospitality provided however, nothing compares to the experience in person. From our safety meeting, to the history of the property and what eventually tuned into shared meals, I don't know that there are better people than Gerard and Caoi. The whole week was magical but what will stay with us for the longest time will be the impact Gerard and Caoi made on us. This is a must visit place for the entire experience and ask Gerard to put you in touch with Richard, who catered the week for us. You will be guaranteed great food and an amazing Chef which was the cherry on top.

We rented the barn for a stag. The location and facilities are awesome. We had tons of space inside and outside. The kitchen facilities were perfect. The beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the view outside at night with a night sky. The hottub and wood BBQ/firepit were awesome. Gerard is so lovely and accommodating. He is always reachable when you need him and very invested on making sure you have a great stay. I imagine we will plan another event at this property in the future.

An amazing property and equally amazing hosts
I came with 4 young adults and we had a wonderful time! Gerard, Caio and their family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have a memorable time. They are such great people! With lots to explore there, evening swims at Lake Lillian, horseback riding, and soaking in the hot tub, we had a memorable time. We are, without a doubt, returning to their property as we look forward to visiting the place and hosts again. Highly recommend!

Amazing property perfect for big family/friend trips!
Gerard and Caio were simply THE MOST AMAZING hosts. Their entire goal was to ensure that our family had the best trip possible. The space was huge, comfortably sleeping our group of almost 20! The outdoor area allowed lots of room to roam and hike with our pups, and the fire pit made for dreamy nights under the stars. My brother was planning on proposing to his girlfriend and when I talked with Gerard about it, he set up the most thoughtful and romantic experience for them! He brought a horse-drawn carriage and set up for the family to wait at the pergola view and Caio photographed it! We could not have asked for anything more and our family feels so lucky to have had this time together at this property. We will always remember this trip and hope to be welcomed back for many future family events! Thank you for everything

Gerard and Caio’s property has one of the most beautiful mountain views myself and my family has ever seen. We also enjoyed the hot tub and homemade muffins that Caio made! What an amazing property
We had a great trip to this Invermere property this summer as a work team event. We had lots of room inside and out for our group of 10 people. It was really hot outside during our stay but surprisingly the inside of the building kept very cool. Gerard and ciao were one of the best hosts I have encountered in the vrbo network. They were available and stayed in touch through out the weekend to make sure we had what we needed and that we enjoyed our stay. They went over and above with fresh muffins, set up a horse game for us outside as well as took some group photos. Some of the group got to ride on the horses which was so nice of Gerard to do that for us. The place was well kept and very clean and we would love to make this trip again in the future. We thank you for all the great memories this summer and wish you and your family all the best this year!! Riley and the Dunrite team

Private, rustic, spacious
A winding road leads you up the mountain to a private paradise. The barn is grand and very cozy at the same time. So much room for activities! Gerard & Caio were welcoming and unbelievably kind. The kitchen is well equipped, the wood stove easy to operate, and there is more than enough room for your party to stretch out. The only cons are there is no internet as it is rural/remote, and the couch isn’t meant for napping. I’d prefer window coverings for guests who aren’t early birds but the view is spectacular. I would recommend the barn for anyone looking to spend their time unplugged in one of Canada’s most beautiful areas. If you’re looking to relax, get in touch with nature, and be well taken care of...visit Gerard & Caio.

Management Retreat
Couldn’t say enough about how responsive and lovely the owner, Gerard is. While we were overwhelmingly pleased with our accommodations, we were disappointed to find out upon arrival that the property’s wifi was down. A heads up in advance would have been extremely helpful, as we were there for a retreat with a management team and had planned team-building activities that utilized laptops and required access to the internet. We were unable to complete those activities. As an FYI, there is an additional charge for firewood if you wish to utilize the property’s fire pit, wood fueled hot tub, or indoor wood stove. Although Gerard did inform me of this the day prior to our arrival, it would have been nice to know earlier as we may have had other options than paying more funds (we are a non-profit organization). This info may well be posted somewhere on the property info page and I may have just missed it. Those things considered, the place was HUGE - it was great to have the whole team on one floor. Beds were on the firm side (which we preferred). Water in 3/4 bathrooms smelled strongly of sulphur, but otherwise there were no odor/allergy issues despite being in a barn. The horses are beautiful and Gerard facilitated a ride for three of our team members, who stayed late on the date we checked out in order to have that experience. The Bluetooth speaker inside is perfect for communal time spent eating, playing games, or sitting around the warmth of the stove (note that having independent thermostats in each bedroom was also fab as some folks run hotter than others). To top everything off, the setting can’t be beat and provided an excellent opportunity to “unplug” and enjoy a beautiful fall weekend in the mountains. Although the getaway felt remote, we were still close enough to town to easily get whatever was needed (and a thank-you to Gerard for getting ice from town for our group prior to our arrival). Many of us spoke of future visits we would like to make with other groups (friends, family reunions, weddings, etc) so fortunately some of us will likely get to see Gerard again one day!

Breathtakingly beautiful and amazing hosts.
Our group of ten loved everything about this property and our stay. It’s a working horse farm with amazing scenery all around. The horses are wonderful as are Gerard and Caio. I love that they share there beautiful property with people. We all want to be farmhands and help out and move there! It is a huge cozy barn so remember it’s a barn but everything was more than adequate. They also have a cute cabin for rent. The sky, views, stars, and the mountains are breathtaking. Don’t hesitate to book this property if you like it. Thank you Gerard and Caio! If you ever come to Nashville than you always have a place to stay if you need it! And you can bring the horses lol! Especially Marcus and Pumpkin!
