"Arrived late and found the key in the outside mailbox which was super handy so we could get to bed straight away without having to do a proper check-in. That said we originally went to #139 'hotel Hesse' as booked but saw a sign that said to go to #164 where our room was, so a bit confusing but not a big issue. "The hotel is beautiful and I was lucky to get a room right on the canal with a great view. The rooms were well decorated. The only thing I didn't like was the restaurant - there are so many Italian restaurants in that area and this one is supposed to be essentially a new spin on classics but the best part about my meal was the bread - and that's because bread is always good."
