Great Property, Awesome Location, Very Reasonably Priced, Super Nice Owner…wish we could have stayed longer.
We arrived Friday afternoon after spending the morning in Everglades Safari Parl and stopping by Alabama Jacks for lunch in Key Largo. We unpacked, checked things out (including the pool) before heading over to Robbie’s for an amazing sunset catamaran cruise …checked out the old lighthouse, saw dolphins and the most amazing sunset and beautiful water that I’ve typically only seen in the Caribbean.
Saturday morning we did a family fishing excursion, again at Robbie’s which is so close to the bungalow, and was able to catch enough snapper for lunch at their restaurant…that afternoon we visited Theater of the Sea which was really fun, and had a great dinner at Island Grill where we saw a couple of manatees off their dock.
Sunday we visited Pine Key, ate lunch at No Name Pub, visited Bahia Honda State Park (beaches) and then visited the Turtle Hospital in Marathon…came back to the bungalow and took a dip in the pool before having the best sunset dinner at Lorelei.
Monday was an all-day at Key West which included a great drive and a lot of walking…we enjoyed the train, aquarium, shipwreck museum and Butterfly observatory, and of course the obligatory photo opps
We also ate key lime pie every day…I highly recommend this property (and this trip) to anyone…great locale for all sorts of fun and exploring, and a cute bungalow to stay at. Just watch out for those no-see-ums!
