"Great location for Palau harbour and we could walk there easily and felt safe. Property is a little old fashioned, but clean. Breakfast was a bit basic but overall for the value for money it was ok. We were given a semi basement room which smelt musty and i asked to be moved which we were to an upper room that was much nicer, but ti is very old fashioned."
"Good location! Missing a few amenities in the shower (not enough soap). The breakfast was good and had lots of options. About a 10 minute walk to town! Very easy. Parking was a little bit harder than we would have liked "
"Wonderful place in beautiful landscape and close to wonderful beaches. The food was incredible good and I fully recommend a cooking class with the chef"
"You would think that a hotel of this caliber would be incredible in every way. Sadly, this is not true. The location, setting and architecture are stunning and on point. However, the decor (at least in the rooms vs villas) is very old school and without modern enhancements. I didn't love or appreciate this aspect of the hotel. It is literally very 80's decor and a little shocked this hasn't been modernized. The food is very expensive which is fine but I don't think it delivered given the...

"This hotel was an absolute lifesaver! I arrived last minute, late at night, and the receptionist kindly stayed late just to welcome me and check us in. The location is fantastic—less than a 5-minute walk to the port of Palau. Many of the rooms offer beautiful water views, which was such a nice surprise.
It’s a no-frills hotel, but it’s incredibly clean, has air conditioning throughout, and includes breakfast. What really sets it apart is the warm and welcoming staff—they go above and beyond. For the price, this place is a gem!"
"I really liked the balcony looking out at Palau! It was also conveniently located to food, pharmacies and tour meeting points to explore the beautiful islands of the Maddalena Archipelago!"
Villa Penelope – Breathtaking & Panoramic Luxury Villa in Palau, up to 10 people
4/10 Poor
"For the first 7 days out of the 10 we stayed we had problems, mainly electrical and had people fixing things around the house.
One light bulb missing in the first bathroom, the maintenance person came after 3 days, didn’t have the right bulb with him, said he would come back but never did.
Bedsheets in the first bedroom had holes.
Some indoor doors were not closing properly, some outdoor doors could not fully open.
Overall the house is in dear need of maintenance.
Suggestions
1) Thorough electrical check need. The first night no AC (it was over 90F in the house). For the next 6 nights we had to switch off some appliances in the kitchen, the laundry room, the hot tub to try to keep the AC on
2) Upgrade the kitchens pots and pans which are well beyond their useful lifetime
3) Add utensils, counted for 10 people (1 meal only) and only 6 small spoons available
4) Provide a second set of keys
5) Adjust the property gate. One of the panels hits the stones on the ground, you need to manually lift it to get it open. It is quite heavy and complicated to open and close.
6) Update entry instructions as code for the main gate was incorrect.
The price paid for the stay (even with the promised partial refund, not yet received one week after leaving the property) is absolutely not in line with the service received. The house is beautiful and location amazing but the rest was extremely disappointing. Jacopo was responsive however we spoke with him way too many times.
