"This was our first visit to The Paramount. We didn't really know what to expect from a property that bills itself as three-star, and our initial impression was colored by the hotel lobby being closed for renovation when we arrived, requiring us to enter through the valet entrance and to walk around the outside of the hotel to reach the breakfast cafe. But this was a minor inconvenience; everything else about the hotel was outstanding! Every member of staff we met was friendly, helpful and informative, from the receptionist to the room attendant. The room itself was a good size, well laid out and well-equipped, clean and in good repair. The towels were perfect, luxuriously soft and absorbent. The bed was comfortable and we both slept well. Breakfast in the Spruce restaurant was outstanding, with a menu offering just what we prefer, and service was very good. Just as important, breakfast was available until 1pm, and hotel checkout time was noon, both things that were very much appreciated by us retired late risers! The location was also very convenient, one block from the Paramount theater and the Convention Center, two from the shopping at Westlake Center and its light rail station. In short, we found this to be an outstanding property, and one we strongly recommend."
