"This was a great ryokan experience for us. The view from the room is spectacular, and the meals were sumptuous and delicious. Shorenkan was the hidden gem of our trip"
"This was one of the highlights of our trip. The private onsen was really nice. The rooms were very spacious and it was an amazing and enjoyable experience."
"Une pause incroyable : vue mer depuis la chambre, bains chauds privés où l’on peut se relaxer en famille, repas exceptionnels.
On a en plus deux espaces pour se relaxer et grignoter.
Personnel d’une gentillesse parfaite, toujours aux petits soins.
Si vous passez dans la région, c’est un endroit où séjourner sans hésitation !"
"The rooms have better and more accommodations than most ,"luxury" and "elite" suites ive been in.
The location in my opinion is great. The town nearby is walkable and its easy to catch the bus."
"Location, location, location walking distance to everything you want from Amanohashidate tourist activities. Great hotel. I had a added pleasure of great sunrise view of the sun arising from Amanohashidate in early June (@4:45am)."
"Small, personal hotel very close to the moving bridge. Excellent location and beautifully presented hotel. Quality Japanese dinner and breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel!"
"I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if...
1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff.
2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is....
"The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. "We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Kitanoya. Everything was to perfection. The onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths. You can sit under a canopy of trees and enjoy nature! Our spacious room had a picture-perfect view of the bay. The food was stupendous. Fresh, varied, and yummy. The staff are very professional and pleasant. They did everything to make our stay wonderful. The location is just a 6-minute walk to the station, and the hotel also provides a shuttle. I didn't want to leave!"
"The hotel is located in Miyazu, a short bus ride from Amanohashidate so technically, it's not in Amanohashidate. A very nice Western hotel, roomy by Japanese standards! The property is well maintained, like new. "

"The hotel is in a perfect setting to enjoy Amanohashidate with a temple only meters from the property and adjacent to and overlooking the famous swing bridge that leads onto the famous stretch of land. The staff were very kind and helpful and the food was outstanding. Highly recommended."
