We liked the location and property very much. I missed that there are two actual houses. Our weather was gorgeous, so no issue crossing street in morning for breakfast. John had asked if we had any dietary restrictions, I said no, not remembering my wife had changed her diet. They went out of their way to whip up something different my wife could eat. The only, only issue I had was the shower/tub had about a 32” step-over. There is a grab bar there, no one slipped or anything. I would recommend highly. Separate kitchen, 2 HVAC units, very comfortable. Good time was had by all.

Because of the ferry, we arrived about 45 minutes later than stated entry time, but the host was very understanding. He gave us a room that required fewer steps than the original location.

Aerie is a beautiful little B&B located in the heart of historic New Bern. I enjoyed my chat with John, the owner yesterday. He is very personable and knows his SEC football, which I appreciated. I am not a morning/breakfast person so didn't experience what was on offer but it sure smelled enticing and the guests were obviously enjoying themselves. I will heartily recommend the Aerie to friends and family in the future.

The room was so unique and comfortable while the staff were beyond courteous and accommodating. Less than two block from the historic tryon palace and within walking distance of every attraction in town. When visiting again we wont stay anwhere else.

This was our first stay here and I must say we were very impressed. It was very relaxing and quiet. Each room has their own theme so when we come back we will have to change it up for fun. The breakfast was fantastic. The owners are very friendly and take time to talk to you and care about your stay. Next time we are in New Bern we will be back.
