Enjoy the South Coast’s welcoming countryside at this charming rural town and check out a classic pub, a local market and an exciting adventure park.

Jamberoo is a pleasant village a short distance inland from New South Wales’ gorgeous South Coast. Known for its traditional local pub and thrilling water park, Jamberoo is a great spot to enjoy a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family trip. Stroll around its historic buildings and look across the beautiful emerald-coloured meadows that surround this charming countryside town.

Explore the heritage village centre and admire the small collection of 19th-century buildings, including charming old churches. The town found its fortune in red cedar when timber cutters and pioneers settled in the 1820s. Dairy became the town’s biggest industry shortly after. Jamberoo is still famed for its high-quality dairy products.

On the last Sunday of the month, visit the Jamberoo Arts and Craft Fair. Pick up handmade items and souvenirs from local artisans and chat with resident crafters and cooks. Sunday afternoons also bring a fun crowd to the iconic Jamberoo Pub, where you can enjoy a cold beer and listen to a local bush band.

Check out the pretty surrounding scenery of Jamberoo Valley and the Minnamurra River with a round of golf at Jamberoo’s local golf course.

Near Jamberoo, find an exciting selection of family-friendly destinations. Jamberoo Action Park is a family adventure playground, with wild waterslides, a rapid river, swimming pools and a scenic chairlift. Head to the Minnamurra Rainforest to walk through native Australian forest on an interpretive boardwalk trail and see a cascading waterfall. Enjoy majestic forested mountain views from the Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk. Explore the trails and spot local wildlife at the Budderoo National Park.

Visit Jamberoo as a side trip on your tour of New South Wales’ South Coast. Jamberoo is 11 kilometres (7 miles) from Kiama and 115 kilometres (71 miles) from Sydney. The area has a range of accommodation options, from pretty farmsteads to the luxury Jamberoo Resort. A relaxed rural setting and delicious local produce make Jamberoo an enjoyable place to visit year-round.

"Overall a pleasant stay and very quiet. The superior apartment was a very good size, but the single shower was small. No bath. Only given limited towels. Kitchenette was excellent. Staff were good. The one small lift was terribly slow - really slow."

Clean Comfortable room and helpful staff.
"The receptionist could not have been more helpful allowing us to check in early after our early morning flight. Our room air conditioner was making a loud dripping noise, after attempting to resolve it, we were offered another room and happily moved. The ice creams were appreciated."

The pub is awesome. Great old pub with heaps to look at all over the walls and ceilings. Great beer and great food too

2/5 - Disappointing

Nothing. The local bowling club was dead, & the food overcooked. I bought a chai latte 'to go' from the local bakery the following morning, & they forgot the chai - it was warm milk. Too late to take back. Everything was horrible about this place.
