The space
A cozy log cabin for two nestled in the trees like your very own adult treehouse! On the porch you will find a HOT TUB, gas grill, and cedar log furniture. The hot tub snuggles up to a gorgeous mature hemlock tree. Watch the squirrels play in front of you. In the winter, you can enjoy sunrise and sunset colors. In the summer, the leaves will enclose you. Large sliding glass doors in living area AND bedroom lead to the porch, bringing the outside in!
Inside is an elegant granite & stainless kitchen, desk workspace, washer/dryer, king size bed, and full bathroom. FREE high speedWiFi.
55" UHDTV with Roku. Bring your streaming passwords/logins!!!
The cabin features easy access directly from the paved road, within a mile of The Big South Fork River & Recreation Area boundary, near Pickett State Park and Twin Arches hiking trail. The back porch is very private as it looks into the trees. In the winter you can see sunrise and sunsets, and moonrise and moonsets, and watch the squirrels play. In the summer time the leaves enclose you and a whippoorwill often sings you to sleep. The hot tub nestles up to gorgeous hemlock - no swimsuits required! Please note that the hot tub is perfect for two people and offers a lovely relaxing soak looking into the trees and appreciating the squirrels and whippoorwills. The hot tub jets have two speeds. The jets are, however, not as strong as you might find at a larger gym or hotel commercial spa.
We are half a mile from The Cumberland Valley Trailhead, with the Bandy Creek Visitor's Center and bike, hike, and horse trails just a few miles further down the road. The driveway is circular so can easily accommodate your trailer of toys - boats, bikes, motorcycles, ATV's, or kayaks. We are in Central Time, halfway between the towns of Jamestown and Oneida, TN. The Hitching Post General Store at 3516 Leatherwood Ford Rd/TN-297 is just down the road. Plug their name or address into your Maps App for our approximate location.
Check-in is anytime 3PM Central Time or later, with check-out by 11AM Central.
