"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Sunset on the Lake! The home was extremely clean and provided every necessity that you could ever need! The bed and furnishings were extremely comfortable and by far the best I’ve experienced in a rental property. The lake was right out the back door and we spent a lot of time on the dock while the kids were always in the lake and provided paddle board. The home was also in close proximity to Crown Point, but the town of Cedar Lake offered everything...

"We arrived excited about our stay to open the door to piles of dirty laundry. The couch was patched together with tape, the toilet was covered in hair, the floor was sticky in the kitchen, the bathmat was dirty with grime and what might have been dog poop. The bathroom had not been swept or wiped down and was covered in dust, hair, and dirt. There were 2 packages of moldy food in the fridge. The blankets had not been washed. The pillowcases had dirty marks on them, and the extra bedding was...

"The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy."

"We 5 72 year old ladies had a great time. We went wine tasting, played cards, games and just talked and laughed. The house was very nice. The water had a horrible smell. There was a water cooler but the jug was empty. The lights were on the ceiling far away from the floor. Hard to read anything. The lamps in the bedrooms didn’t work. But nothing stopped us from having a great time. "

"This property was clean, nicely decorated & kitchen well appointed (except for the NON Microwave safe coffee mugs). A reheated cup of coffee caused 2nd & 3rd degree burns when removed from the microwave. After the fact, we noted the mugs were stamped on the bottom in tiny print, "not microwave safe". "We came to the area for an Irish Dance competition, and instead of staying in a hotel we opted to look for a home we could share with my sister and her family. The house was perfect and fit all of our needs. The hosts were very responsive during the whole stay and leading up to. Prior to our trip Nicky reached out and asked how old our girls were that were competing over the weekend, and she wanted to provide them goody bags.
