Mt Sherman Retreat
Our family of five loved the cabin. Jeff was an unbelievable host before, during & after our stay. The location is perfect if you like making memories in a secluded & peaceful place. We loved morning coffee on the back porch, table tennis in the game room, Twin Falls at nearby Camp Orr, Low Gap Cafe & downtown shops & restaurants at Jasper (ten minutes away).

Perfect for us!
This place is amazing! Plenty of space, so clean, well equipped (beyond what you’d ever expect), beautiful!! Thank you Jeff for your attention to detail and for making your lodge a place for families and groups to gather, rest, refuel, laugh, and experience the sheer beauty of God’s creation. Our family loved every second. We will be back!

Amazing quit mountain lodge!
Truly a great find. We had 6 adults with motorcycles and the riding to and from the lodge was awesome ! Very quiet and secluded with lots of space to hang out. It’s a bit outdated but it just adds to the character and charm. Very clean and a well stocked kitchen with all your cooking needs. Beds were comfortable. Would recommend staying here for sure. Jeff is an amazing host, always available for a quick question. Thanks Jeff for sharing your place with us!

Weekend Getaway
We rented this cabin for 18 people, 10 adults and 8 kids. It is 1/2 of mike down a dirt road to get down to the cabin so we didn’t have to worry constantly about the kids being near a road. The room with 7 beds was perfect for the kids to all sleep together in their own room. The large kitchen and island was great for breakfast, and then we spent the rest of the day at the river or by the fire pit. The cabin is rustic but very comfortable for a large group.

Great location
The listing was misleading in regards to the number of bathrooms and bedrooms. The listing shows 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. When we arrived there were only 3 bathrooms in the house and a half bath in the detached rec. room (converted garage). There were only 5 bedrooms and one single bed in the hallway. This made it inconvenient for the 6 adult couples that stayed there. We can only assume that the other bedroom and bath were in the upstairs of the rec room that was locked. There were quite a few spider webs and the house was a little musty smelling. That being said the kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of room and the dining room table was great for our big group. The location and fire pit were great. We would stay there again but we feel like the house needs to be cleaned better and the listing needs to be updated with the correct number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

Couple of suggestions: 1) The VRBO listing never mentioned anything about this property having STAIRS. It was a bit of a problem for our group consisting from great grandparents to a new born. 2) There should be blinds or shutters or at least curtains in the downstairs bedroom. Not everyone wishes to wake up with the sunrise.

Ozark Mountain Motorcycle Trip
10 of us stayed here with our motorcycles. This place was absolutely amazing and a perfect home base that allowed us to make 250+ mile loops through the winding Ozark mountain roads starting and ending at the Buffalo Lodge! Working with Jeff was an absolute pleasure and we will absolutely be back and definitely stay at one of his properties he lists on VRBO!!!!

Guys Trip to Remember
My fiancé and his friends had a great trip exploring the Buffalo and this lodge served as the perfect retreat for them. More than enough room for all your friends and Jeff was great. I have never had a host be easier to reach or more accommodating than him. Very secluded location but 10 minutes from anything you need or want to do. They enjoyed zip lining and exploring the river. The house had plenty of room and entertainment. Kitchen had everything they needed to cook for the group. The Ozark Cafe provided a delicious meal whenever they didn’t feel like cooking. Definitely a trip to repeat in the future!!

Perfect Location and Beautiful Land
I organized a trip for a group of my friends. People came from Kansas City and St. Louis and the cabin was nearly equidistant between the two cities. There were 14 people in attendance and the amenities were perfect for our purposes. The kitchen is large and well stocked with all the implements you might need to put on a feast for a large group or a small one. There are two large grills that are also up to the task. The rec room is a nice addition to the main building's common areas and outdoor gathering spots. We had planned to have a KC vs. StL ping pong tournament but never got around to it. All in all, it's beautiful, secluded, accommodating and serene. Stargazing was incredible. Thanks to Jeff for the perfect venue for our trip!

Great private getaway.
We really enjoyed staying at the lodge. It was so quiet and private, but still just a short drive into Jasper and everything we needed. Our kids loved it and so did. We. We will definitely be staying here again.
