One of the weirdest hotel I have ever been to. The decoration and set up is so strange.. the left was covered with unusually strange looking wall paper. No air con in it. We booked. a double room we got stuff for a single occupancy. No toilet paper, no one came to clean my room while I was away. The room condition was so poor. Curtain and blind were broken and to close the curtain I used my hair clips. The wall were mouldy, one of the strange things is the toilet door doesn’t close and this impossible to six as it hitting a wall when closing. The communal area have unusually strange furniture. The bed and the mattress are very taller and you have to jump in it and jump of it as it it might cause an accident. The only good thing is the reception lady who met me on arrival was nice. But the overall experience was not good at all. I was visiting Ed by a couple of friend and relatives and they also said it’s a weird hotel. I don’t understand how Expedia consider this good. I booked this as I trusted Expedia as I always have good experiences but sadly not this time .. cheers

Complete rip off, extremely expensive, no cafe or restaurant, closed for 1 y for renovation but looks worse than before. Had hole on the ceiling, only the shell of the smoke detector on the ceiling, no cafe or restaurant, shockingly not much available in the area anymore. It is close to the Historical Center but a lot of boards raised signing restaurations ( yet nothing done after 1 y since I visited last ) . So location is not an advantage anymore. Poor customer care, no remote control in the room, the tv wasn’t even set, no brochure or numbers list for contact in the room. If you needed anything, you had to go downstairs. The only thing that change , it smells nice , before you could feel a musky and tobacco smell when you return into your room after few hours AC been off. Bed was nice , but pillows to hard and bulky so the neck was very uncomfortable.

They refused to consider my real confirmed booking status & said that I needed to pay up for the rooms I already paid for. Their problem was with whatever booking agent was working as mediatory between them & Expedia, & rather then dealing with the issue themselves, they had me make a 75min call to Expedia to work it out. They didn’t even apologize after they accepted my booking.

Renovated?
I have stayed here a number of times before and do not recall it being an issue. The first room, yes, I had to switch rooms, had a noise that was like a distant smoke detector going off constantly. About drove me crazy. When I went to ask to switch rooms, I was told it was the AC and that was the noise it made. I was offered another room, but was told it would be cold, as it did not have that AC in it. I like a cold room at night, but it was COLD the whole time. I finally opened the windows to warm it up a bit, and my plans to spend quality time in the comfort of my room catching up on work did not bode well.

Below average stay.
Pathetically slow check in, reception was confused about the booking because they couldn't find the same. Was given suite 505, pathetic condition no toiletries, sofas with stains and dust for over ages. One of the bath had it's shower broken. Had to ask for all basic hygiene products. Check out was quick. Luggage locker was the only plus point. Was provided with a late check out on request.

Nice Hotel close to the beach
Upon arrival at 4pm, I was told I did not pay for my stay and when I proved it they said BB is not included but Expedia team intervened and solved the problem. The room was for smoking person, when I asked to change the room I was told to wait for one hour. I could not wait and I accepted the room after spraying it with refresher. When checking out at 5am, the employee at reception informed me that I have to pay for my stay when I told him that I have already paid and I have to catch up with my flight he called the security. Then I showed the security that I have paid and I have to go then. This took more than half an hour before I was allowed to go. Very bad

Close to shopping areas, downtown. Restaurents are not very close. Rooms need to be fresh smelling. Apparently we were given a smoking rm for non-smoking rm. Terrible. Our clothes were smelling before we left. Didn't get a chance to take pictures. I would definitely stay there again. Right close to shopping, especially jewelry & clothes.

Pleasant staff, but dated facility
Left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. I had high expectations upon checkin, when I was told that I was being upgraded to a "renovated" room. Upon entering the room, however, it smelled musty and dated, and it was small, dark and dingy. The deadbolt on the door was non-existent (all that remained were the screw holes in the frame where it once was located). The curtains could not be opened, as they were falling off the curtain rod, and when I tried to open them, they continued to fall further off the structure. The toilet's pressure was too high, so each time you flushed the toilet, toilet water ended up on the floor. Sadly, it was not a pleasant experience. The staff, however, were helpful, polite, and eager to assist.

Great hotel in the heart of the city
I really like this hotel. I've stayed here three times and always found it very comfortable and the staff very warm and friendly. Room aetvice is great as is breakfast. The rooms are a good size and comfortable and bery clean. The location is great with many interesting shops less than 5 minutes walk away. When back in Jeddah I will certainly stay here again. I haven't used the gym or rooftop swimming pool but it looks great from my room window. Highly recommended.
