This private, Jefferson NH home is located on 40 peaceful acres and offers privacy, stunning Mountain Views, and a mile and a half of private wooded trails. This home features an open concept living space, high speed internet, and a fully stocked kitchen. It is energy efficient with solar panels for both electricity and hot water and has a standby, automatic generator just in case of power outages! It also has Central A/C for those toasty days and a pellet stove for the cold nights!

One of the first things you will hear when you arrive is Alder Brook, a clear, mountain stream in front of the house. A perfect destination for hikers, snowmobilers, photo enthusiasts, skiers, or outdoors enthusiasts. This is a choice location for those looking for a peaceful retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of city life while still being accessible to many of the northern NH attractions…. 3.5 miles to Santa's Village, 17 miles to the Cog Railway, 19 miles to Bretton Woods, 24 miles to the Mount Washington Auto Road, 26 miles to Wildcat Mountain, 38 miles to Storyland, 39 miles to Loon Mtn/Lincoln, 44 miles to North Conway.

IDEAL for snowmobiling with ample on site trailer parking and very close to large trailheads with truck/trailer parking and access to the groomed trails heading to Errol, Berlin, Jericho, Gorham, Pittsburg, etc.

Recent upgrades are a downstairs Kids den with bunk beds and a large screen TV with theater seating, a Game Room with a Pool table and Bar for the adults, an outdoor Hot Tub with Mountain Views, as well as a Fire Pit with complimentary firewood for burning and a sitting area near Alder Brook.

Start the day by taking the family to the Waterwheel Breakfast and Gift House on Route 2. Take a short trip down the road to the Mt Starr King / Mt Waumbek trailhead off of Starr King Rd. Enjoy an easy hike or bike riding at the PondiCherry wildlife refuge. Ten minutes away on Route 2 in Randolph you can park at the Appalachia Trailhead where an easy hike brings you to Gordon Falls and then continue up the trails for more falls. Also just down the road is the Pond of Safety, accessible only by 4 wheel drive. After a day of hiking, snowmobiling, or running after the kids at Santa’s Village, wind down by soaking in the hot tub while watching the sunset on Mt Washington or head to the Copper Pig Brewery just 14 minutes away in Lancaster.

Please note that this is a quiet, peaceful area and there is zero tolerance for any behavior that is disruptive to the neighborhood. No parties, events, loud noise, or large groups are allowed. Please reach out if you anticipate having an event for prior authorization.

Perfect getaway in the mountains!
Our extended family stayed here to attend a wedding in Jefferson. This house and location were outstanding. The host was extremely responsive and the check in process was seamless. Hannah kindly arranged for us to check in a bit early so that we could avoid the weekend traffic. Upon arrival, we found a very clean, well stocked house with a great lay out. The beds were very comfortable, everything worked as it should, and the hot tub was well maintained and ready to go. The view was beautiful and the we enjoyed the fire pit and the gorgeous weather on the outdoor property. It was perfect in every way; one of the best that we've ever stayed in! We highly recommend this property!

Great Location
My daughter's wedding was in Jefferson NH this past weekend and the house was just 5 minutes down the road. It was very clean and spacious. We had 9 adults and one 8 yr old. Loved the amenities- view being #1, the 4 bedrooms with King size beds were great, the theater room, pool table and fire pit definitely got used. Unfortunately we did not get to use the hot tub :( The foliage was spectacular. The host was very responsive and accommodating, as well. I would recommend and would love to rent it again!

Great Vacation Property
This was our 3rd year staying at this home. We are a family of 6 adults and 3 children. The home is spacious and allows everyone time to be together or wander to another part of the house for some quiet time. The views are amazing and the outside yard is great for the little ones to run around and play. Hannah is a great host and very easy to reach. I hope to be back next year with my family.

This property was absolutely wonderful! The house is gorgeous, spacial, and very clean. My family and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The location was perfect for our visit to Santa's Village with the kids. I also have to say it was as described by our host and on line. My sons, who did the cooking were very happy with the kitchen and the quality of utensils and what not available. The kids loved the downstairs area with plenty of toys to play with. All my questions were answered in a very short time. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect Family Get Away
We loved this property so much, we wish we had booked a third night, to just stay there, walk the trails, and enjoy the space! Very homey, plenty of room. The theater was wonderful and the kids really enjoyed it. Perfect location to Santa's village and such a peaceful home with gorgeous gardens. Owner was very cmmunicative and helpful!

Family friendly mountain house retreat!
Wonderful home in a fantastic location, tucked away in a quiet, peaceful corner of the white mountains. Close to many of the parks and trails and away from the crowds. Woke up every morning to an amazing view of Mt Washington. House was well done with comfortable beds, plenty of amenities, and plenty of space for two families to enjoy a week of adventures. The host was fantastic. Very responsive and offered some great recommendations for things to do in the area. Would highly recommend and would like to go back.

Great Vacation
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Alder Brook Lodge. The house was spotless, the bedrooms were good size and the home theater/bunk house was perfect for the four grandchildren. The yard offered endless fun, whether playing down by the brook, enjoying the fire pit or just playing yard games. We didn’t even have time to try the hot tub or go on any of the hiking trails. Maybe next time. Finally, the proximity to Santa’s Village , made a great opening day even better. Thank you for the memories!

We all enjoyed it very much. We knew we had until 11:00 am for check out so as we were cleaning up a car pulled up ( cleaning lady?) at 10:00 am so we had to rush out of there because we thought we then had to be out by 10:00 so we vaccumed as quick as we could. Fabulous vacation home with stunning Mountain View
Spacious 4 BR plus 4 bunks in finished basement. Wonderful outdoor jacuzzi. Well equipped kitchen: we mostly cooked & found great baking accessories and spices. Spectacular views of the mountains from the house. Excellent communication from the owners. Easy keyless access. I highly recommend this home for a mountain stay. 30 min to Bretton Woods or Cannon. Very quiet. Easy pellet stove, central heat/air, lovely decor. We have stayed here before; the current owners improved an already wonderful house.

Nicest place I’ve stayed!
Extremely nice place with tons of room. Perfect basecamp for our group’s annual trip to climb in the White Mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Nothing to complain about. Would stay here again.

Amazing house!
This house is beautiful, clean, and huge - more than enough room to not feel crowded or overwhelmed with a big group. The property is private and about 5 minutes away from Santa’s Village which was super convenient with little kids. The host was so responsive and kind, would definitely recommend!

The property was beautiful and the house had plenty of room for my family The host was more than accommodating when we had a question and even allowed us to check in early and check out late My grandkids had a fabulous time with all the amenities they had The only flaw was the cleanliness which I’m not sure the host even knew about so I did make her aware of this.

Cozy Home in Great Location
As part of our fall trip through the northeast, our family stayed two nights in this very comfortable home. It seems made for a longer vacation with an extended family--tons of sleeping spaces, a great theatre space downstairs with huge smart TV, billiard table. Lots of sitting space and a very functional pellet stove in the main living area. Next to a charming brook, there's a fire pit in the front with plenty of chopped wood nearby. The beds were very comfortable, and we slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, and various condiments/spices. Although the kitchen appliances and the decor are rather dated, everything works well, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend not only the house but Hannah as a host. She was very responsive and friendly.
