Charming Creekside cottage along a beautiful part of Pine Creek. Direct access to the 62 Mile top ranked Pine Creek Rail Trail (USA today Ranked one of the Top Ten Places to Bike Ride). Watch Bald Eagles soar above the creek as you enjoy your coffee. Our modern cabin hosts a full kitchen equipped with up to date pots, pans, utensils, plates etc for and all needed utensils to make fun and complete meals(service for ten is there) The modern Bathroom features a new shower room and has ample high quality towels for a full family. Our beds all feature high thread count bedding. The living room Is Creek facing and full glass to look out onto the creek. The cabin has a large Flat Panel TV and Blu Ray player with High speed Fiber WiFi
Outside you'll find a large covered porch with chairs overlooking the Creek. The outdoor Fire pit is perfect for sitting by the Creek and enjoying a Fire daytime or under a Blanket of Bright Stars. We offer Hassel Free spilt, dry firewood onsite for your convenience. (No need to purchase by the bundle)
Walk out the back door to swim, fish, kayak, and enjoy the beauty of the Valley. Out the front door is a short walk to access the 62 mile Pine Creek Rail Trail. We are a PET friendly Cottage as well

Owner was great as well as the stay!

Nice cottage!
Perfect little getaway cottage. Has a nice size bedroom and bathroom. The living room and kitchen areas are spacious as well! The cottage was absolutely clean when I arrived and entry to the cottage was easy thanks to the instructions of the owners. Would absolutely stay there again! Thank you for the hospitality!

Peaceful retreat
Lovely little cabin along the river and right next to the rail trail. Great getaway to get away from the hustle of towns and touristy stuff, just a few other cabins and a trail nearby. Multiple cabins with same house number, which was confusing, but got it sorted pretty quickly. Internet speed was decent, which was nice because there's no cell service.

Awesome Vacatioin
It was the perfect place to access the Black Forest Trail, Golden Eagle Trail, etc. Access to all these trails and fabulous wild trout streams via bicycle was awesome. I enjoyed every minute even with wet feet and duct tape wrapped toes!

Anniversary weekend
My husband and I stayed here while hiking & celebrating our 20th Anniversary. Easy access to the Pine Creek Gorge bicycle trail, as well as, a short, scenic drive to the PA Grand Canyon in Wellsboro. The cabin was clean and met our needs. No complaints! Shelia, Pittsburgh PA

Perfection!
The property was in perfect condition upon our arrival. We were familiar with the cabin as we had stayed in Doug's other cabin next door in June 2020. We will return at least once, and more likely, twice each year to enjoy these cabins.

Property was nice and peaceful as described owner very fast with answering questions always on call never had any issues at all, ownerwas great very cool person,, The View was really beautiful hiking trails really nice. Basically we are planning to go back there probably soon, the night we got there was the low 5° the house was more warm than needed, Heating was very great. We enjoyed it 100%

Great place to unplug!
Absolutely no cell service so come with all your in case of emergency essentials. WiFi was hit or miss with connection. Location was beautiful and peaceful, would love to come back in the summer! Cleanliness was ok… just felt like it hadn’t had a DEEP cleaned in a couple seasons. Would definitely recommend for a couple or a small family getaway.

Beautiful Location
Thirsty Bear cabin is in a beautiful location right next to Pine Creek and steps from the rail trail. We had a great time riding our bikes and enjoying the fire pit. I would love to see this place again in the summer time as I’m sure the views are stunning with all the trees in bloom. The only drawback for us was the fact that the cabin wreaked of bleach. It seemed like whoever cleaned the cabin used straight bleach water and the smell was so strong it actually made me and my son nauseous The cabin could use a good deep cleaning despite the bleach smell. The other concerning thing was that the smoke detectors were detached from the ceiling. Not sure why. The location couldn’t be better. If it weren’t for the strong odor of bleach we would probably rent again. The owner is very nice and quick to respond to questions as well.

The location is beautiful! The cabin, however, boasts updated and photographs well, but it wasn't so nice. Could have been much cleaner. Spent the first hours there cleaning up and rewashing towels that were left in the dryer and smelled. Washer didn't want to stay running and dryer was really caked with lint so it's probably pretty bad in the duct which would explain why it took so long. Kitchen has hot water, but the shower has about 1 minute of warm water then good luck. Mysterious water on the floor in the bedroom but couldn't find a leak. Maybe sweat from the foundation? Refrigerator didn't hold temp and had to throw out food. It really is a great location and the views are everything we wanted so we dealt with the shortcomings.

You've got to see it to believe it! Just PERFECT! They aren't kidding about the breathtaking part!
We use VRBO about 8-10 times a year. We always look at reviews before deciding on our exact rental. It definitely makes our decision easier. I found this little gem and we decided to give it a try despite it having no reviews. This review will be lengthy, I think the owners deserve it. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 15). We live about 3 hours away and had never been to this area. Once we reached Pine Creek, we were so excited to get out of the car and explore the area, it is just beautiful...even in the winter. Upon arrival, the house was EXACTLY as described and pictured. VERY clean, fresh and welcoming. The owners have truly thought of everything. There are wonderful gravity chairs by the new private fire pit, a chiminea, a brand new weber charcoal grill (don't forget the charcoal like I did), kindling and wood. The creek is right out the front door. The kitchen, despite being small was packed full of everything you could imagine, including essentials like paper towels and soaps, cleaning items and trash bags, foil, coffee and sugars, a microwave and a toaster oven. The living area was cozy with a gas heater in the wall that literally heated up the house in a few minutes. The kids liked the bunk beds and we were surprisingly ok on the pull out sofa bed. There are plenty of towels and linens, extra pillows and blankets. The washer and dryer are full size. Very nice, clean, large bathroom. We were the first ones to rent this home so there were a few silly quirks during our stay that definitely made for some wonderful memories! Not to worry though, Doug had already started an instruction booklet prior to me suggesting it...trust me, You will need it for the Wi-Fi and the Satellite remote! He said he is going to have the booklet at the house and online, what a great idea. The owners live in Florida and immediately answered the phone to help us with any questions we had, any time of the day. We lost GPS signal about 20 minutes from the house but Doug made sure we had specific directions prior to us leaving home and we found it no problem. If you love nature or just want to get away and unwind for a bit, this place is for you. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Doug and Marci for thinking about everything so we didn't have to! We had a wonderful stay and will be back again soon (we are going to try your main house next time, it looks very inviting!). I hope this review helps you pick the perfect getaway!

Reconnect with nature
Property was cute and cozy. Right on the water. Well appointed kitchen with great cookware. Bathroom was spacious. Very nice washer and dryer which was great because it rained heavily one day. Host provided make up wipe and W-tips and detergent and toilet paper. Lots of cleaning supplies too. Would recommend for a couple looking to get away.
