"It is a homestay, not a hotel. When we arrived, there was no one in the hotel. The gentleman nearby helped call the man of this homestay that he finally appeared to let have the keys to check in. "

"Be aware this is an old dormitory facility. The rooms are basic but clean. The whole place smells a bit of mildew. Pillows are not good. There are many hills and stairs to get to some of the rooms. Breakfast was good. It was convenient to be inside the park starting the day, as we avoided some of the crowds from buses. "

"just in front of the train station but without the noise of the trains. very good sound barrier. comfortable and clean room. MacDonald's, convenient stores and and other food within walking distance. cheap laundry. lovely lounge with nice views of Douliu. will stay here again ! "

"This place is heaven. The owners are a lovely couple who are genuinely lovely people. They designed this place themselves and the attention to detail is evident. The room was great with a stunning Mountain View and modern en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was a lovely plus too! We will stay here again when we’re in the area."

"Location is ideal being one with nature. We rented a car so locating the property wasn’t hard. Average hotel. Our room can fit 5 futons. Bathroom size is spacious though the amenities, overall is average. We enjoyed our one night stay. Breakfast is sufficient. "

"This motel was by far the worst I've ever experienced. I cannot overstate the severity of the issues I encountered. The entire property should be either demolished or undergo extensive renovations. "This property is wonderful in every way imaginable. The property is in a great location with a bus stop right across the street that transports you around the Lake. In addition, the breakfast and dinner buffets are out of this world abundant with too many options to mention. I would recommend anyone who wants to visit Sun Moon Lake to stay. But how great Fleur de Chine Hotel is I want to say that Expedia customer service is complete garbage. I've been a customer for decades and each year I keep getting amazed at how much crappier their customer service can get. My reservation during booking said that they took a deposit at the time and I'm supposed to pay the balance at the hotel but when I arrived they said that they never received the deposit and that I needed to pay in full. The subsequent 40 minutes we tried to get in touch with Expedia customer service greatly angered both myself and the reception desk. We gave up and ended up doing my own detective work in going back through months of credit card statements to see if a deposit was taken. It turned out that it wasn't so the Hotel was correct but Expedia was wrong. I don't know why I'm surprised that this was the outcome considering that my sister recently booked an entire vacation through Expedia. However, due to some mixup, she wanted to reinstate a hotel which Expedia refused. Not sure I want to continue to use them"
