It was less than a ten-minute drive to Sailor’s Encampment, where we were able to watch freighters - close up, that were going up the river to the locks. We learned from a friendly local that once a freighter passes by at Sailor’s Encampment, you can quickly drive up A Line and Hume’s Standard roads to Stribling Point Park, and watch it again.Out host was friendly, polite and quick to respond to all our questions. We always enjoy exploring St. Joseph Island and look forward to our next visit."

Gord and Lori Ann were extremely helpful and great to deal with. We even got a few fishing tips, to help get us started. The cottage was very clean and well equipped.
