Very nice and secure. Unfortunately the pool had not been cleaned. It did not stop us from swimming though to cool down once I had removed the leaves from the pool.
The Lodge is beautiful, peaceful and the gardens and pristine.Food is home mad to perfection.
Only one problem for me, a teat teetotaler, they ran out of milk
This was the most terrible experience I have had in years of travelling. The receptionist asked for proof of payment and I paid in advance. She then walked me halfway to my room and said she was too lazy to walk all the way and back. My room had no toilet paper. When I walked all the way back and told her this, she had some excuse about supplies arriving late - no apology. The glass shelf in the bathroom was loose on one side, dangling a bit and looked like it might break. The toilet seat was loose. The room had a brick half-wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom. It then had a sliding door to the outside and no windows. This meant that when having a shower there is no extraction for the steam unless the door to the outside is open. It was noisy as the room is close to the road.

Disliked: Staff & service
Room had no soap. Room did not have a showers Breakfast was average. Service was terrible.
Would have been one f the best accomodation experiences but the last hour at breakfast was a complete let down. The waitress just didn't understand the game quite frankly. When I arrived I was alone.. I wasn't sure I had the right room as apart from tables there is little indication (no staff.. no buffet.. no atmosphere) anyway. The one drink policy is odd. Allowing a coffee and a fruit juice would have made a big difference and not broken the bank. Regardless this is their policy but instead of the waitress subtly explaining this you get a look as though you are silly when you ask for both. Then I figured out the policy and moved on. She shouts to the kitchen after 5 metres away from you.. I had to take cutlery off the next table as well as get up to get my own condiments. I am the first to allow leeway with F&B as I am in the industry.. but 1 guest then a couple after me... total of three people and you are not on top of things? Poor. BUT I will be back. Excellent excellent excellent room. Really top notch. Dstv.. ICE waiting in the fridge which is turned on! Plenty coffee and tea.. great shower.. comfy bed.. parking 10 metres away from room... and check in.. was the fastest in many travels. Lovely staff member at front desk.. couldnt ask for more
Everything is pre packaged for you (WiFi / room key / breakfast info/ etc) overall great but hire a breakfast waitress who knows how to smile.
Was asked to pay "oustanding" R900 although paid in full. Bathroom shower door missing. Broken toilet roll holder and barthroom shelf. Bed lamp not working, filthy couch.Room 12. Honey moon suite bath broken
