"Frida's by the sea is a charming, comfortable cottage with a wrap-around verandah which is great spot to relax. All amenities were in place including an effective air-con system and modern appliances in a quirky, traditional setting. The location is surprisingly close to the dog-friendly beach via a lane and short stroll through the bush. Notes left by the host made us feel welcome and there were lots of basics (tea, coffee, milk etc.) in the kitchen so no need to go to the shops for anything...

"We had the loveliest restful time at Crowdy. Host Graham is also an excellent massage therapist and I recommend him for all types of massage. Quiet, reasonable price, old fashioned beach house style. We can’t wait to go back. Cafe across the road for coffee , beach patrolled on weekend, only 6 kms from Harrington. Stones Seafood on the way in , fresh and local. Best rest , blessed time. "

"The Cob House is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, an exemplary example of just how little we need to be happy. The host and all the animals about were incredibly welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better break from work, the close small towns offer charm and welcoming locals and if you are up for chasing waterfalls, there are so many in driving distance though some might require a decent trek. 100% recommend! "This was a nice unit in a good position. The kitchen was good, but the mircowave was not working. The decor is very dated and the lounges need to be fixed or replaced. There are planks of wood under the cushions for support which is uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable. It is a hassle bringing your own sheets and towels. There downpipes were leaking so when it rained there was constant dripping all night. We called it the water torture. Otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay."

We only spent a night here on a road trip but would have liked to do a little longer as there was lots for the kids; two pools, one more peaceful and one with slides and equipment, a jumping pillow, a playground, go-karts, a small putt putt etc. We arrived around 2pm.
