"All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was comfortable and serviced daily. Free bottles of water daily were appreciated. Lambert’s, the on-site restaurant, was excellent. The only downside was the limited public transport."

"Location: In the centre of the main shopping street and an easy walk to the river. Shops and restaurants in an easy walk. Prpoerty: Clean, quiet and good amenities. Room: Clean, quiet. Normal hotel room size. Overall a good place to stay on a short stay."

"Beautiful heritage hotel. Easy walking to The Star casino and complex and skydeck, the pedestrian bridge to South Bank and the city cats on the river. Dining was lovely at Ryan's on the park and breakfast at The Lab, all within the hotel. Easy underground parking. The botanical gardens are close by and the free city loop bus around the city. Very helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. "

"Easy to find. Clear instructions for check in and check out. Luggage lift was very useful. 10 minute walk to supermarket. Older style units but clean, quiet and well maintained. We stayed with our 7 and 9 year old grandchildren. Will stay again. "

"The Chermside is an awesome budget accommodation. The rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend them. The fact they sport Veterans ( I am one) is awesome! The pool, the parking, the breakfast patio, the Ferrari, brilliant! Best location for Chermside and shopping. excellent all rounder and exceptional value with outstanding staff. I could write a book. I wish other centers would this good. I most definitely will stay again. A must for ANZAC travelers! "

"The room has a balcony and it was relatively clean, the bed had a spring sticking out a bit but it was avoidable. The hotel is in an old building with quite a few steps leading to the reception area and more steps into the rooms out the back of the building, unless you get a room close to the reception area. The location is excellent, however if you're lugging a heavy suitcase don't walk from the valley train station, it's mostly uphill."
