Everything was great - great location, newly remodeled, fully furnished kitchen, etc..., but the awesome view is the main selling point. We spent hours and hours just taking it in - the seaplanes landing, the clouds rolling by, the eagles flying by, the crows harassing the eagles, etc...
The layout with the big, wide windows really accentuates the view as well. You could sit on the balcony, but also lay in bed or lean back in the recliners in the living room.
It was a good location besides the view. A convenience store was just a few minutes walk away. The nearest coffee shop or restaurant was about a 20 minute walk away over the bridge (with a pedestrian walkway), and the main tourist drag downtown was about 30-35 minutes away. It was a very nice, scenic walk.
One of the advantages of the Juneau area (opposed to Anchorage area) is that pretty much everything is within a tighter radius of about a 20 or 30 minute drive - the glacier, tons of little beaches, tons of restaurants, all the excursions like whale watching, kayaking, etc...
The airport in Juneau is tiny and very easy to get in and out of.
We had an awesome trip and will be back.
