I specifically asked if it was working (because of earlier reviews) and was told it was working, it was not, probably has not worked in awhile, the pump motor is buried in sand. "We had a great time at Casa Juliana with our family party of 9. It is a quick walk to Playa Junquillal, which is a stunning beach. We enjoyed the pool and screened in porch. It is very private, but there are great restaurants very close to the house. I would note that the upstairs loft bedroom is beautiful, with the attached living area, but it may not be appropriate for kids or folks with concerns about mobility. "It's a great cozy and quiet place. Spacious apartment with all you need if you want to cook. There is a small market on the first floor. Close to Playa Junquillal and the VerdiAzul turtle rescue center. (Go just before sunset to see them release baby turtles). It's not far from Playa Negra if you want more dinning options. "
