"Cottage is a days drive from England in North Loire region so not as well known. We had plenty to do visiting historical sites, old villages and wine tasting! It was very quiet and peaceful and the owner very helpfully marked a map with interesting places to visit. We were unaccustomed to en-suite arrangements formed by curtains"

Some wood was provided but we had to go up the hill to fill a wheelbarrow for another load. Internet access was sketchy at times. A weak signal. "This is a very well run Gite with lots to do in the grounds and buildings. As it is a conversion of an old farmhouse it is a bit dark and some of the appliances are a bit dated - but it all works. There are loads of walks around the park and the old trails. As you are in the country there are the usual flies and bugs to contend with but those who love nature will feel right at home. We took our dog and it did not get on too well with the owners young Boxer dog (he was just a bit nosy vs angry)...
