The Flying Honu is located in the heart of Kona three blocks from the Ironman starting line. Built on the fragrant pathway from the mountain to the sea (Mauka to Makai ) it is a great example of Hawaiian single wall construction. Open floor plan with large windows to let the ocean and mountain breezes inn. Large master bedroom with ceiling fan. The lanai sleeping area has two full size beds . We provide everything you will need for your day at the beach mask, snorkels, fins, beach chairs, boogie boards .

Great location!

The property is just as listed with a very comfortable deck for chilling. We loved the location that is walking distance from the beach, shopping, restaurants and coffee shops. They also have beach items available and free like chairs and snorkels.

Nice place to stay with plenty of space. Great location to restaurants in Kona. Had a parking spot which was awesome. Marc was friendly and welcoming. Cooked dinner in the kitchen which was good too.

Lovely breezes

The open space and gentle breezes coming through the apt. were wonderful. The beds were very comfortable also. The kitchen is well equipped. The sitting areas outside and in were comfortable also. We were very pleased with our stay.

This place was perfect for us—in town for 2 nights. Wanted a place close to airport and easy to get to sights. Great location. In the neighborhood, which I like, amongst the local folks. Felt safe and space provided everything that we needed. We used smoke equipment and towels for our venture. Great experience!

We flew to the Flying Honu

We had a cozy stay at an apartment above a garage, where we parked our rental car. We knew we were renting in a neighborhood and not in a hotel so there are pros and cons to that. However, the landlords were really friendly and let us borrow boogie boards, masks, and snorkels, and use the washing machine. Overall, it was a great location to do things all around the island and we had a pleasant stay.
