"Berkey himself is a gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. His communications are excellent and once there, he will be there for you. He attends to details and has pride in this hideaway. It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. "The address was not correct, it leads us to the hospital, I had to ask for directions. When the men arrived at the bottom of the stairs, they were sitting and never responded to the "hello", maybe because of my complexion, whatever, I didn't try to say hello again after that. The maids was nice and polite. "

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem."

"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way. The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "

"Nixson and his mother are lovely. He took time to make sure I was comfortable, and kindly shared his knowledge of the plants in his garden with me Fridge, hot shower, comfy bed, nearby shops, atm, restaurants Some mozzies but there are nets so I slept great I went to Batibou beach nearby, about a 1hr walk, or 10 min drive. My jaw was on the floor 😍 I enjoyed my stay. Thank you"
