"Disappointing stay. The deck overlooking the Kunene River which is featured in the advertisement for the property is stunning. However, nothing else lived up to these expectations. Our booking showed a hotel room and when we arrived we were shown to what was apparently a "guides" room. The room was small, dark and dingy and was closed with a lock on a latch. For the less money at other locations in the area we received a far better deal. We asked to be moved as this was not good for the amount...

"Auch wenn man am A.... der Welt übernachtet sollten doch einige wichtige Details in der Unterkunfttsbeschreibung nicht fehlen. Es gibt keine Steckdose in den Bungalows! Der Ventilator ist ein ganz einfaches Standgerät ohne tatsächliche Wirkung. Das Wasser im Pool und auch im Zimmer (Waschbecken und Dusche) stammt direkt aus dem Kunene, kaltes Wasser gibt es nicht. "We stayed in a dome tent that had really comfortable beds provided and the leaves spread on the towels just made the welcome more incredible. Camping in style! The food at the restaurant was served next to the river at sunset - just wow."

Everything was unpleasant and inadequate.

"We booked 6 months ago. No record of our booking upon arrival. The young woman didn't even look up my name; she just said:" You want a room?" Missing and then compleyely indifferent staff were difficultto locate. Was given a choice of 3 small, sterile, concrete rooms, when we had prepaid for a larger Family room. The room we got had sheets that had not been changed, and we only got one new clean duvet cover for a room with 2 single beds. Had to request another towel. We used our own sarongs as bottom sheets. Shower head was broken. No mosquito nets, or window screens, and lots of mosquitoes. They set up tables for an evening party right outside our room, and two dozen people drank and made noise until very late. Couldn't wait to leave in the morning. Worst lodging experience by far that we had in a month in Namibia. Stay anywhere else."
